I see Galatasaray have now offered him a job with their academy after hearing of his struggles, you'd think Woolwich would at least offer him something similar considering the amount of time he was at the club, and also the fact he's still living in North London.

I 've always wondered why young footballers get married so quickly. Obviously it's so easy for them to pay for and get done , whilst half of them probably can't believe their luck when they find themselves with an incredibly attractive woman. However, some of them do need to stop and wait it out until they are close to retiring or have already done so. Theres a lot if cases in which you can see the golddigger a mile off and you just know that once that player retires things wont be the same.

So many of them still play the field too that you question why would someone with all that money choose to be in a relationship when they clearly just want to play the field, just do it being single! You won't have the press writing appalling shit about you and youd still have respect.

His pension should be paying out by now, that should be a reasonable sum.

Lots of stories in the Meejah about Arsenal exploring ways to help him out.

I hated the ****. Some people deserve what they get. You can guarantee he isn't that innocent.

Never liked the prick so won't feel sorry for him. He dived against us in a 2-2 draw at the lane which led to us being screwed out of a win, and he always liked a tumble against us, even against Barcelona he tried his magic diving antics.

He lived the dream of being a footballer, he's never had to work a 12 hour shift in a factory. He's owned fast cars most of us couldn't even rent for a day. Bollocks to the Arsenal fucker, you're leaving the dream now mate, Pot Noodles & quavers for lunch.

He will be bailed out by someone in the media like a lot of these ex gamblers, skint footballers who land some pundit job

So wrong. No one deserves to lose access to their kids. The guy's lost a brother and a parent figure. And because he dived, you wish him all his misery? Fuck off.

Who gives a fuck if he was rich and lost it all? You talk like bricklayers and plumbers don't overextend on credit or have a spouse that takes money in a divorce.

I hope he does get "bailed out" by colleagues, which is why we make friends and acquaintances and learn trades to begin with.

You fuck off you twat. If you like Eboue so much set up a foundation to raise him some money. Maybe you can massage his Arsenal balls too.

I won't be losing any sleep over Eboue. There are a lot of people in front of him on my list of people to be worried about. He had his chance with a fantastic lifestyle which gave him more than most of humanity could ever dream of and managed to balls it up. He rates on my sympathy list alongside lottery winners who blew the lot and now feel hard done by. His version of the 'settlement' sounds like a load of complete bollocks to me as well. Nobody has to give up 100% of everything.

Careful mate taidgh will give you a bollocking. We should feel sympathy for the lad who had millions upon millions, with supercars and countless women

While I couldn't stand eboue as a player as he was a massive tit, something doesn't quite add up with the settlement that 100% of everything goes to his wife. But I do feel sympathy for him when not being able to see his kids, that just sucks.

Does anyone know why he can't see his kids? It's usually in their best interests to see both parents.

I'm a lawyer and there's definitely pieces of the story missing here if she was awarded ALL his assets, including what would he a second home for her to rent out. Doesn't add up.

Also, it is uncommon for a father not to be allowed to even see his children, even if she has sole custody. It may be that she simply isn't letting him and he hasn't fought for it legally. Again, doesn't add up.

Certain posts on here remind me that some people just can't see past the fact that at the end of the day, football is just a game. If you don't feel sorry for him because he used to play for Arsenal, then you're a cockwomble, simple as
