The Prince and that rolled-up sleeves business

Moment of last night for me happened when the camera cuts to our 'ghetto' Prince on the bench to see him preparing to come on. Rather than the traditional warming-up exercises, he appears to be doing up his hair and rolling up his sleeves to show off his muscles.

First thought was that we had signed a bit of a bell-end. Then suddenly came to realise that there is a fine line between genius and madness and that he was treading it just perfectly. Next followed that scything tackle and a shot that nearly hit the corner flag. Now he comes up with the classic quote

"The last time I wished I wasn't somewhere was in London and I got lost. I was thinking 'wow, what shall I do now!'."

I was laughing so much when the camera went to him whilst he was getting ready to come on & he was doing his hair, brilliant!

He had already warmed up and was just about to come on when he was rolling up his sleves, so dont see what the fuss is about.

The "scything" tackle was brilliant, nothing wrong with it. We need more players who will chalange for the ball, JJ also produced a brilliantly timed tackle last night.

His shot that was heading to the corner flag was just as bad as Lennons shot that Bent scored from, the only diffrence is that Boetang also hit one or two other shots that wern't that bad.

One shot tested the keeper, one tested the corner flag, sounds an ideal player for us

Never a booking! Great tackle.

If it was me getting ready I'd have the GHD's out straightening the ahir and applying lip gloss so my lips didnt get chapped!!!

I like this kid. Despite the 'Ghetto' image he's come across as anything but a Big I Am in his interviews. He's got his feet on the ground and realises he's got to earn himself a starting place.

That was a good old-fashioned tackle last night, and the card was definitely harsh.

I think a lot of fans will have appreciated that tackle - yeah, he got a booking, yeah, he was way too keen coming in like that, but it was a fair tackle - the fact that them tackles are always 50/50 as to whether the ref agree's or not, and considering we were playing in the waffa cup, where the rules are all upsidedownontheirhead when it comes to fouls, he should've expected it to go against him.

We all remember the punishment for Robbo for actually winning the ball with a magnificent save, and the yellow that should've been a red, if there was inded a foul - the refs in europe are... lets say, "Special"

After his showing last night, next time he's on the bench for a game, or perhaps starts, you know that each player in the midfield will have that in the back of their head and, when receiving the ball will have to wonder if a missiles not about to come burning over their laces - it's good to have that aggression in the middle. If KPB does indeed have the kind of enthusiasm of Teemu, the pace and technique of Steed and more of them sliding toe-in tackles in his kitbag, we've found ourselves a real gem here...

If JJ is out for the next game, I wonder if KP will get a start.

He looks really hungry for the ball and to get stuck in, which has been missing from our team a bit lately.

Ramos definitley likes him, probably why he was on his way to Sevilla before we came in at the last moment and signed him.

I think he just needs a farjer figure. Pity we don't have :supered: any more.

Hope he starts at the weekend.

Was news to me, but a lot of talk on the commentary yesterday about how Ramos always rated him very highly and had been after him at Seville. Reckon he will play a bigger and bigger part.

if he's in the habit of showing off his tats though i just hope he doesn't get any 'lower down'.

I like him. I hope he sticks it long enough to gain a regular starting position.

His hair is the biz! I think we should all have a Boateng!

He was way too keen to impress last night. Trying a bit too hard.

Would definitely have it that way rather than a laid back attitude mind you. Was great to have 3 players come off the bench last night and look really hungry to prove themselves.

KPB falls in to that category of player that fans root for. He's one they really want to see realise the talent he may have. Fingers crossed.
