This is why I never bother with those stupid season predictor things on the BBC website, you can never rely on Spurs, except to let you down.

This season feels like a real let down when it could have gone down as one of our greatest seasons in donkeys years :-/

Indeed, especially because I can't help thinking, this was our chance to push on and we really and truly blew it. I honestly don't see us being genuine contenders for foruth next season. We needed to qualify for the CL again for the revenue and to attract the players.

City have the money to cement their place in the top 4, bcos they can afford to buy a squad that can compete on both fronts.

It could be a perpetual battle between ourselves and Liverpool for 5th - if Liverpool don't challenge for 4th that is.

It now actually pains me to see this thread still active.

For the love of god, can a mod please shut it down.

Mercy.

Harry just said on MOTD2 that he is still trying for 4th place and it is still possible and if we win on tuesday its down to 3 points with two games to go

Put it like this if we won our last three games, and City (losing to us) and drawing against Stoke and Bolton would still see us fourth lol...

Stoke are playing well at the moment and what gives a little encouragement is they actually didn't have much to play for today and still put the effort in with a Cup Final next weekend.

Now thats the best picture I can paint , but what puts that in context very quickly is that we dont look like winning a game of football at the moment.

The thing is, even if city lose one match out of the two it still isn't enough

the only way stoke can win at eastlands is if they lose in the final and this can cause the hangover effect for city like what happened to us after CC final and stoke looking for revenge

Also Bolton will be looking to finish the season on a high after FA cup and Lofthouse death and Sturridge playing City should be enough encouragement

I know, I know typical Spurs fan lying to himself, telling himself they can do it but maybe with some Lasagna we can do it

If City win the cup then Stoke will want to lose again to City so they get Europa league next season. Not that it matters, it's over.

I didn't know he was going to be on MOTD2, did they ask him any proper questions or was it the usual hey buddy routine?

You can't have it both ways though jh, if he'd said it's over no doubt you and other fans would be on his case.

Of course it's over, Brett. I didn't come down in the last shower. He's just dressing this up to make it sound like we pushed City right to the wire.

This is the man who could have had Rossi for £18m but chose instead to sit on his hands.

Colin Murray alluded to the old...you didn't really have a 20 goal a season man did you this season...at that point I spat my tea out

Talked about the draws at home at which point Harry said a few players wern't performing to the same standard they were in the first half of the season.

Ancelotti said the title race was done and dusted after today's game. Why not call a spade a spade?

difference is chelsea are 6 points behind with two games to go, if they drew they would of been in our predicament if we win on tuesday

yeah after United had beaten them....and only requiring one point against Blackburn and Blackpool.

That is over, if we beat City there is still a small hope.

I think most people would be pretty annoyed to hear him its over.
