You're always going to miss a player of Tevez's calibre, especially if it's longer term but looking at our own experiences of when Bale has been injured or Modric, we have found a way to keep the run going.

I remember last year when we were praying for Palacios not to get banned late on in the season and eventually picked up his booking at United and we all thought we were doomed but it turned out to be a blessing with Huddlestone and Modric doing the business for us and the rest, as they say, is history!

Yeah but the difference is they've been far more reliant on Tevez than we have been on any player.

This

Everyone needs to calm down about Liverpool. Yes they've got Carroll and Suarez but very little else. We had a better team in the Berbs n Keane era.

Liverpool has helped us beat City. We must now, continue our form and keep on winning. We're only 3 points behind now, with a game in hand. If we can win against Arsenal that puts us just behind City on goal difference.

But now let's focus on Real, with Huddlestone back we can score more goals.

Huddlestone is a CM like Lampard and Gerrard, he can tackle, pass and score. Not as good as them but the role he plays is the same. Sandro is more of a Macherano player CDF.

At home we should play Huddlestone and away Sandro, or both against tougher teams away.

City looked a bit shapeless in the first half but I thought Liverpool played well - game was over at half time. They moved the ball forward very well, passed with real purpose.

I think Anfield is looking harder than Stamford Bridge at the moment. Hopefully the bin dippers wont have much to play for by the time we head up there.

Mate Hudd is nothing like Lampard or Gerrard whatsoever. He doesn't get forward as much and certainly doesn't get anyhwere near them for goals, and doesn't have the same sort of drive from midfield, certainly not like Gerrard in that respect...thats not his game or his role in our side.

He's an exellent passing range but he aint anything like those two....more like Alonso but obviously not as good. Infact I dont even think thats a like for like comparison as such, but they both read the game well and pass the ball extremely well....first comparison to pop into my head.

He's not on Alonso's level though, that guy is sheer class.

I think watching how Liverpool and Chelsea played this weekend at home you may be right, but Pool didn't look THAT good, we should be able to win both those away games imo.

Chelsea should have nothing to play for when we face them at SB.

Yeah my mind went blank when I was trying to find a player like Huddlestone, I completely forgot about Alonso, hence I used the two that fits closest to the few I had in mind. It was a bad comparison but I was just trying to get my opinions across.

Saying that, maybe Huddlestone is a player of his own. I haven't seen any player who plays like him... dam now I thought of Scholes lol

Blackburn away
West Ham home
Everton away
Spurs home
Stoke home
Bolton away

Wow... City is going to steam roll past all those teams, except us :)

Actually, the race is kinda fair - in a way...

Spurs games - Extremely tough, but we play better against tougher oppositions.

City games - extremely easy, but they play better against weaker oppositions.

I'm hoping for Chelsea to beat Man.U tomorrow as well. That may well result in them putting all their focus and effort in winning the CL.

Not a chance, Bolton and Everton are teams that will beat them away easily, wouldn't even count Blackburn out. City never beat Everton, Everton even beat them at home.

If City continue their record of not winning an away game in 2011, we're 4th imo.

Might be good but might not

Them winning would give them confidence, but I'm almost positive it won't happen though, there's no way Utd will lose an away lead. They'll win 3-0 imo.
