Bad day at the office. Man City hit every break they could and are now only 5 points behind us with 2 games I can't see them loosing.
ARSENAL win away from home and still have a game in hand and look like they can still get top 4 and CL football.
Leicester could have won today I think it will be a tough game for us to get anything off them.
Hull will be either fighting for there lives. Or like Newcastle last year, players putting themselves in the shop window! And totally relaxed.
Then we have a very emotional game tomorrow at the lane tomorrow and the pressure of holding on to an unbeaten record at home. Man U will have to go for it, forget what Jose says. They will have to beat a very good Ajax side to get CL. He has over a weeks rest after our game so he will put out a full and strong side!
I can see this all going Pete Tong

All we need is one bloody point out of 12! And I can see us blowing it again and missing out on second. And bloody ARSEnal getting in the CL.

Come on Spurs don't do it to us again. Get that bloody point tomorrow- PLEASE!!!!

Jesus Christ.

I was talking about before the wet spam game. Just like last year we had a possible 12 points and blew it. Sorry until I see that 1 point on the bag, like last year, it is hard to keep the faith. Happily take a point now tomorrow!

OK, righty oh!

Liverpool and Arsenal battling desperately for that 4th place. Can't stand either club and it's like asking who to save from a burning building out of Ian Huntley and Jimmy Saville.

:ROFLMAO: the correct answer is neither. you get some popcorn and watch both the fuckers burn.

Has the spurs community smurf curse ever resulted in anything other than the victim of the smurfing achieving ultimate success against us? I'm pretty sure it's more of a good luck charm than a curse

£5 charity bet to the SC coffers says that we'll get at least the required 1 point tomorrow?

Remember last year. Same position with 4 games to go and we blew it. Such short memories? We should have got a point at spammers. But with all we had to play for we still didn't show up!
So not sure why after that display at spammers and the games we have why people are So confident we will get that point, history tells us otherwise.

This Spurs team is different have faith.

I think it would harm arsenal more than Liverpool to miss out on top four

All Liverpool's players are used to them not having CL football, I don't think anyone their will push for a move if they miss out and I also don't think it will massively detract from their recruitment if they don't have CL football to offer next season

Arsenal on the other hand could lose their best players

Well Klopp has already said they will lose their first choice targets if they don't make champions league and their current squad is not good enough for a European campaign

I agree that it would be better in some ways if Arsenal were to miss out, however I personally think Sanchez is gone no matter what happens, he knows that that club's ambition doesn't match up with his own. So, then it all depends on who they can bring in to replace him and Wenger does seem quite reluctant to reach out and sign them players who could help them provide a genuine title challenge. Therefore it could just be a rinse and repeat situation but I am always worried about what would happen if Wenger finally saw the light and shipped out all those shirkers and actually brought in some characters.

Whereas, in Liverpool's case, how long will the likes of Coutinho and Mane be happy to sit out of the Champions League? It's the same situation that we had with Modric, as soon as Madrid, Barca or even Chelsea come knocking then they will start agitating......as for most of Liverpool's other players, well, they are not really good enough. So, I have to disagree because I do think this will really harm Liverpool, remember that their wages are in line with Champions League handouts etc. I also think that Klopp will really struggle to balance European football and Premier League football and I've seen nothing from him so far that he has a way of adapting.

It's quite a tough one to call but I think I'm leaning towards Arsenal.

I still think it does more harm to Arsenal than Liverpool due to them being established for so long as a CL team

Equally if Real or Barca come knocking Coutinho and or Mane would want out with or without Liverpool having CL status

Modric and Bale both would have still wanted to go to Real had we reach the CL for example

why has the match on Wednesday v Southampton been postponed?

they have no Fellani he is still suspended, Pogba hasn't travelled, they have no Rojo, no Shaw, no Young, no Ibrahimovic and have very little chance of top 4 place unless they come out and attack full on, and win their last 3 with the teams above them not gaining enough. I can't see him risking vital players in their last 3 games.

if Liverpool beat Wetspam or even draw tomorrow their hopes of top 4 fades even more, and Wetspam are crippled with injuries

Sadly they do and we have ended up with another season with zero trophies. That is 26 years since we have won a truly big trophy, League Cups are a joke these days, and no matter how you dress it up that's not good enough.

Were we ever in the title race? Only one occasion this season did we have chance to go top, away at WBA after beating City, and like usual choked at the chance. We went on to draw a number of games after that which ended our title hopes there and then. Our true chance of silverware came in the EL and FA cup but yet again we found ways of getting ourselves knocked out in ways only THFC can.

Due to our wage structure most of our players will be coveted this summer, can you really blame them if they view their futures elsewhere earning double/treble the money and at clubs who know how to get 'over the line'.....?
You must be a joy at parties!

Whether Pool or Arse misses out on CL, I'm looking at it as still a win-win situation for us.

Let them sweat it out on who misses CL.

It's 100% arsenal missing out on champions league for me. I've got mates who support both teams so the Liverpool fans will be unbearable as usual but in terms of football I think it's best that arsenal miss out. plus it will be hilarious. Wenger will be there next season regardless too.

I also think that Arsenal getting fourth would give them a boost ahead the the cup final and we don't want that.

Only City can overtake us so I don't care. But have to say would rather see Arsenal miss out on CL. That would make the season really sweet!
If we screw up our second place ( again) and they make CL it really takes the shine off the season and gives them the chance to say Tottenham you did it again.
If we have truly grown as a club and a team we should not be screwing this ip again. We should really be getting at least 5 points out of these last 3 games, yet here I am again worrying about getting 1 and securing second place.

Didn't look like it against the spammers? What did you think of the team that played that game?

I think it had a big "lack of Dembele" hole in it which handed the initiative to WH, but off the back of 9 straight wins I can't see how anyone can complain too much. This team has improved from last season, laid a few of last seasons ghosts to rest and genuinely moved up a level.

Is it the finished article? No. Can it improve again. Yes.

But I certainly not gonna be slashing my wrists over this season, and for the first time in my 30+ years of supporting Spurs I don't go into big games, like today's, expecting to lose
