It'll be interesting to see what team he puts out against City. You'd think he would put his first choice 11 out (barring injuries). He usually rotates if we play midweek but we have a full week so it'll be interesting to see if he plays Walker & Rose or Trippier and Davis considering their excellent games at the weekend. I think the team against City will show who he thinks is his first 11 if he had to pick one. We have Fiorentina the Thursday after but I think he'll see this as the more important game.

We win this we're guaranteed top 4 in my opinion. Title? Can't see it. Been a fan far too long to imagine Spurs winning a title. I'd never be so happy to be proved wrong.

This team isn't scared of anyone, think if it gets close the result v Leicester will probably be excruciatingly crucial.. I'm loving it, beat man city next week and the arse turn over Leicester you will all believe!

In season two of Poch's stewardship, young team, new system, playing in three competitions going into the last third of the season, i'd still be very happy with a CL spot.

I truly believe we will finish third.

I think the thread's fair enough - if our fans are so psychologically damaged that they can't even talk about the title when we're second in the league and top of the form table then there's something wrong.

The games against City, Arsenal and United are crucial in determining exactly where we'll finish.

I can't see the title myself - we're good enough to win enough games to win it, but the EL will almost certainly take too much out of us to keep it up, and I think we'll make a big push to win the FA Cup, which would be brilliant as long as we still got a CL place.

I think we'll finish third - probably above City. Horrible feeling that Arsenal will win the title with their usual last-15-game winning run - as soon as Barca smash them they'll win everything until the end of the season, they always do.

But third still represents a great season and if we could add the FA Cup to it I'd say that would be beyond our wildest dreams at the start of the season. It would also set us up brilliantly to push on again next season.

Just watching the Denver Broncos win the Superbowl and the commentator said something like 'behind every successful superbowl winning team is a great defense' and that struck a chord. I just hope that also rings true with proper football this year too! And I hope its no coincidence that we have a proper defense minded manager for once and he we the best defense we've had in decades too.

Lets wait and see how this season transpires.

I don't get it. Why on earth in some people's mind Spurs will screw up sooner or later because we are Spurs? Apart from the year 2011-2012, which we slipped from 3rd to 4th, which other recent years did we slip up from higher league position to lower?

This thread needs to exist! BELIEVE! :D

Yes, the top 4 finish thread was pleasantly optimistic at the time but looks timid now and is rightly superseded by this one, which in its turn will be replaced by the CL winners '17 thread.

I'm concerned about the Europa Thursday's games but I'm optimistic for even a 2nd place spot @Gaz_Gammon
I think we will also do well in the FA Cup.
It's about a winning mentality for all players. It about belief as Poch often says.
I saw the game vs Watford and all our players grafted. I did not see a 'lay-back' lazy attitude.

If you can't enjoy times like this with the thousands of pounds and countless hours spent following your team through the mediocrity then you may as well give up. I fully expect us not to win the league but just because we've been unlucky previously or missed out by the slightest margins doesn't mean shit anymore. If City and Arsenal are in the title race, then so are we, and I plan to enjoy every win a little bit more than the last as we get closer to the line.
