some big established clubs going down this season, the championship next season will have some big names down there all scrapping to get promotion, so glad we're not one of the flimsy teams anymore, flirting with relegation, fuck having to battle to get back in the premier league

Brighton and Huddersfield run ins are shocking, Southampton could yet stay up but they need to beat Swansea.

For either to get dragged in though, Stoke or Southampton are going to have to make up seven points on them, and looking at the fixtures I'm not sure I can see either team even getting seven points.

I think Swansea are now the only team that can get dragged in. They play both Southampton and Stoke in the last two games, so if they lose both of them you'd assume they'd be in trouble.

But I think the current bottom three will be the three that go down.

Yeah, unless you're the one team that's quite a bit better than everyone else, like Wolves this season, the Championship is a real dogfight that's for sure.

So it’s going to be West Brom, Stoke and I reckon Southampton will go. Shame about the last 2 as that’s usually a guaranteed 12 points from those 4 fixtures.

Southampton could sneak out of it yet as they've got a game in hand. And Huddersfield have an awful run in.

And Southampton have just taken the lead.

edit... looks like Southampton haven't got a game in hand over most teams.

I guess Southampton will have to sell off their better players this summer if they go down....oh wait.

Just saw they have Arse at home on the final day. Arse are obviously wretched away but it will be Wenger's last game. I think Huddersfield will need points, one or three, from that match to stay up.

Southampton have for Everton, Swansea and Man City.

Swansea have got Chelsea today, then Bournemouth, Southampton and Stoke.

Was it West Bromwich Albion that beat United in Fergies last game? There could be something similar in store for Wenger if Huddersfield need a win to stay up.

It was a 5-5 between WBA and United actually, but WBA had Lukaku that season and were a lot better than Hudd. Then again, United won the league and Arse ... will not.

One team will drop on the final day, IMO. The question is whether Stoke will drop next weekend or if they can claw their way to the final day drama.

Southampton winning makes the battle very interesting.

3 games to go. Huddersfield and West Ham only 3 points clear and Swansea 1 clear.

Surely too late for Stoke to save themselves.

West Ham go away to Leicester then play home to Utd and Everton. Surely they'll get enough points to survive.

Huddersfield are away to City and Chelsea then home to Arsenal.

Swansea are away to Bournemouth, home to Saints then home to Stoke.

Southampton are away to Everton and Swansea and home to City.

Swansea v Southampton will likely be the biggest game of the season.

I fear for Huddersfield, if Southampton and Swansea get 1 more win, Huddersfield will need to beat 1 of Man C (a), Chelsea (a) or Arsenal (h). Man C are going all out for every record, Chelsea might still have a sniff at CL, and even though Arsenal haven't got a single point away in 2018, it might be Wengers last ever match. if they exit Europe Wenger will play his strongest side, and they might even make an effort.

Hopefully if they can beat Arse then hopefully Leicester, Man U and Everton turn up against Spam, then we can all enjoy seeing Wet Spam disappear (providing Swansea and Southampton get at least 1 more win each) Swansea beat Stoke, or Bournemouth, Southampton beat either Swansea or Everton, and Huddersfield just get 1pt from last 3 and Spam lose all 3 HAPPY DAYS!!!!!!!!

Can anyone else remember another time when we got this far into the season and there will still no teams actually relegated?
Normally there's at least one team who's officially down and whilst West Brom are all but down, they're still not.
