Fair play to Swansea, I thought they were definitely for the drop. But 2 fantastic results against Arse and pool have turned things around and given them a fighting chance.

Don't mind newcastle staying up. West ham, palace and west brom cause i don't like pardew.

The next insufferable set of fans after Liverpool are Newcastle fans... So i always want them to go down. I suppose its the same with West ham too. West Brom for me is how they handled that striker transfer.. Just cant remember his name. Plays at stoke now.

Yes thats him. They've given it large a fair bit. I used to be on the teamtalk forum years back and they were a cocksure bunch.

I suppose im like an elephant and haven't forgotten that loss over new years some 20yrs back when they smacked us 6-0 i think. Kevin Keegan was their manager and Gerry Francis ours. Petty i know but just wont let go of it:shifty:.

Really interesting relegation battle at this stage.

Normally you expect the weaker promoted sides to fall away towards the end of the season. It looked like Huddersfield were falling away but wins over Bournemouth and Brom have helped a lot.

Would like to see Stoke go down.

Can't see West Brom getting enough points from here. Just a question of the other two. Stoke and dare i say it, West Ham would be perfect.

You're probably right about West Brom but often a team has looked down and out and got out of trouble.

The thing with being at the bottom is the teams around aren't winning consistently so a couple of wins makes a huge difference.

West Brom 3 win of their next 5 and they'd likely be out of relegation. They have Watford, Leicester, Bournemouth, Burnley and Swansea coming up.

3 of their 4 games after that are Utd, Liverpool and us.

Edit: actually likely to need to win 4 of their next 5 to temporarily get out of relegation.

They've only won three games all season. They look dead in the water.

Just checked and they've picked up 12 points in 24 games. That's not just relegation form, that's 'rock bottom given up' form.

One win in those 24 games too.

Serves them right for opting for Pardew. I wonder if they are wishing they'd been a little braver.

West Brom pretty much gone.

Hoping it'll be West Brom, West Ham and Stoke...but Southampton seem to be very weird this season so I could see them slipping into the bottom three again.

If Palace survive, given how they started the season, then they've played a blinder and fair play to them. They do have Yanited on Monday, mind.

The idea that Stoke could go down given some of the players in their squad is shocking... Butland, Shaqiri, Affelay, Glen Johnson, Joe Allen, Shawcross to name a few. The fact they're down there at all is a disgrace, their players should be embarrassed.

Newcastle fans are generally great, IMO. If I ever want to get a view from a neutral set of non-Spurs fans on something happening in football (e.g. the Arsenal vs Man City match the other night), the first forum I go to is Newcastle-Online.org - very funny, self-deprecating and reasonable bunch on there.

I’m sort of hoping Stoke don’t go, recent seasons suggests they are generally good for 6 points and a +8 goal difference for us.

I really really want West Ham to go, the meltdown would be epic.

There was a 7-1 as well around February or early March. My Geordie cousin sent my dad a birthday card in mid-March with the Newcastle squad photo on the front and "7-1" written all over the inside.

Okay thats another perspective i suppose. Always had it out for that lot. Perhaps its from my days on Teamtalk and interacting with them. On that forum they were pretty much like the dippers fans but less nauseating.

Maybe im still holding on to that 6-0 loss from the late 90's perhaps.
