If the 6N was tomorrow I think we’d most likely finish 4th, possibly 5th.

At least we should have the big Yid, Tipuric, Moriarty, Ball, Webb, North and Liam Williams back for the 6N (providing they don’t get injured when they come back for their regions/clubs) but so, so gutted J.Davies will still be out.

Jake Ball has been ruled out of the 6N along with Davies. Unlike England the second row is not an area we can really afford to get injuries in but there you go.

North in talks with the Dragons as well. Ospreys best pull their fucking finger out.

I'd certainly be surprised if we see a grand slam this time.

Should be great to watch. As long as England win. :cautious:

I wouldn’t be surprised at all. You’ve won the last 2 championships 1 of which being a GS. Yes Scotland will be tough this year compared to previous years and Wales is always an emotionally charged, well contested (usually) game but generally speaking if you beat Ireland at home you’re well on course for another GS. Likewise for Ireland d, if they beat you I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see them go on to win the GS

Would you like to borrow one of our second rows? That's what we used to do at school.

I’m surprised I haven’t been called up for Wales, tbh

I'm way too old for a call up now, but back when Wales called up Sonny Parker, I thought I was in with a good chance on the basis that my Mum had once owned a Tom Jones record.

Just the 1? You have to own at least 3 to qualify.

Not in those days. Eating a bowl of leek and potato soup pretty much guaranteed your elegibility.

Shane Howarth qualified via owning Silence of the lambs on VHS. Really, though, you should be thanking us for paving the way for Rokdungi and Solomon.

Solomona I'll give you. I hope he doesn't get anywhere near the England team anytime soon for a variety of reasons.

But I think Roko has more than earned his Englishness having been to Afghanistan on our behalf!

Will all be much better once they go back to the 5 years rule. Things like the Hadleigh Parkes situation don't look very good for the sport. Not blaming Wales btw as it's within the rules at the moment, but I just think it makes a slight mockery of international rugby.

Yeah, agreed. Most nations are at it these days though except for a few (Argentina springs to mind)

I remember having this conversation with @SugarRay and we both agreed that we’d go further and say you should have at least 1 parent who is from whatever country. But yeah, at the very least it should go back to 5 years for the residency qualification.

Yeah whilst people like Vunipola and Tuilagi are slightly different having been here for a while, I don't like it when England use people like Hughes who seems to be exclusively a project player.

Ireland did it as well with CJ 'O' Stander.

Mind you if things keep going the way they are, there won't be any Pacific Island international teams so it'll become an interesting bidding process.

There are so many things that the Rugby authorities do better than the people running Football. The Residency bullshit isn't one of them though.

Warburton out now as well.

You’ve clearly jinxed everyone on that list, although Warburton has been jinxed for a while really.

I know. Gutted.

Mind you 7 for us is almost as good as your 2nd row options. At least we have Tips and now Navidi looks like he can be a great option off the bench. Still a big loss, though.

The Northampton v Ospreys game is ridiculous

Seems that Northampton have decided a defeat to Ospreys is officially rock bottom and have therefore sacked Mallinder.

Did your lot play a different team to what they've been putting out in the Pro-whateveritis? Either way I think Mallinder's sacking has been a while in coming.

Meanwhile my Quins comprehensively followed up their brilliant win against the double European Champions by losing to a team (Ulster) last seen drawing with Dragons. I think we may be the most inconsistent team in the history of club rugby.

As a Saints supporter I'm a bit sad to see Mallinder go. However, we have been awful for quite some time now and have made some dreadful recruitment gaffs. Don't seem to be playing with any heart at the moment. We've never really got past losing Manoa in my opinion and haven't had a solid, first choice 10 for ages. Don't think Dan Biggar is the answer either. No idea who will be coming in - just hope it isn't Grayson.

Nah mate it’s just that we’ve written off the league and putting all our eggs into the champions cup. Remember, we only narrowly lost to saracens away by 1 point and I when I watched that I was like where the fuck has that performance come from. Same with Northampton.

Old AWJ bossed Itoje and now has bossed Lawes. I joke, Lawes was decent.

I think we’re just as inconsistent as your lot, if not more, this year.

We’ve got half a chance of QF but have to beat Sarries.
