That wasn't the point I was making now was it? But seeing as you brought it up, I think he could easily do better at a bigger club. I don't think he got a fair crack at United (for a variety of reasons), but in a team that's struggling most of the time there's going to be spells where he gets dragged down. He's got the tools to be a massive player and I'm not sure what people expect from him, he's playing at Palace FFS, he's easily too good for them, he scores almost a goal every three games, gets assists, creates chances and often has a massive effect on their overall performances. You'd have to assume his goals/assists numbers would improve in a better team. He's exactly the sort of player we should be looking to sign. If he were absolutely tearing it up we'd have no chance so yeah, I'd be quite happy to sign him, it'd be no more of a gamble than signing any other player.

I doubt very much that we'd be looking to spend 60-70m on a player to go head to head with Son. I probably like Moura a lot more than plenty of other people as well, but if we have that sort of money to spend I'd much rather target CM and fullbacks.

That's exactly the kind of thing we should be doing, creating intense competition for places. If we want to be this 'big club' everyone keeps banging on about that is. IMO, it doesn't have to be one or the other, it can be both. Not that I particularly care if we sign Zaha or not. We can sign a forward player as well as addressing other areas. I'll say it again, I think we'll spend a fair bit this summer. IMO of course :D

I don't get all this AWB is not good going forward. He's completed more successful dribbles than any other defender in the league - https://www.football365.com/news/forget-trent-is-wan-bissaka-englands-long-term-right-back

He might not have looked good against us as we completely dominated but conversely in our side he would have more chances to attack and dribble.

With all due respect, being good at dribbling also doesn't equal being a good attacking full back, IMO. It suggests he can beat a man but if he's got no end product after that then is he a good attacking full back? Not so sure.

Anyway, I'm not personally saying he's bad in attack, I've just not seen any evidence to suggest it's an equal part of his game to his clearly standout defensive work. Equally though, my expectation is that he is probably held back by Roy's defensive tactics.

Don't let stats get in the way of a baseless narrative!

Probably no need for this

Saying all this I don't see us signing him due to the fee Palace would demand and the competition we would face. He has massive potential though.

I think he's great, but I very much doubt we'll be going for players like Wan Bissaka or Chilwell - out of our reach now financially, you're looking at around £60m each. Max Aarons or Youcef Atal for RB and Kieran Tierney, Alex Grimaldo or even Ryan Sessengon (as a LWB) seem more obtainable targets for us.

If Eriksen leaves, and I will keep banging on this drum, Thorgan Hazard is being valued at around 42m euros for a transfer to Dortmund. Apparently he wants to go Atletico though.

His brother took a big ol dump on us today so I doubt he'd join us.

Why do Real Madrid need Eriksen when they already have this guy. Isn't he a Zidane favourite too?
Because Eriksen is approximately 15x better right now. Real Madrid want to win now, they don't have time to sit there and let the kids grow and make mistakes.

Didn't they play a load of young players in their last game?

Started the usual group with Odriozola and Asensio being considered the "young players" and lost to Valencia.

They just need to refresh their squad.

Interesting we have 7 players with 10 or more goal contributions this season only city can match that. Liverpool and United have 4. Liverpool been insanely luck on the front 3 with injuries.

Everybody complains about our attacking depth but we have better attacking depth than every team bar City. A new backup striker is all we need IMO. Lucas and Lamela are better backups than ManU, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal all have.

Max Kruse on a free transfer would be the perfect backup for Kane. He's a man on fire this year and has stated his desire to play Champions League football.

If we manage to offload Eriksen for 80-100m I'd go all in on Sancho. Kid is going to be one of the best players in the world in a few years IMO.

Out of principle we shouldn't pay that for him when we could have got him for a fraction of that

AWB is the one to go for. He is a scum fan but that shouldn't stop him unless the scum want him

We would be competing with united and the scum for him

You would honestly be happy with that?
