No doubt Zaha is a good player but not at the price palace would like .£35-40M would be my max value for his service ...I just think he’s to inconsistent in front of goal .

Good player though

Yeah I broadly agree with this. For the 70m being talked about, how much of an upgrade would he be on Moura? A bit, but not massive IMO. Therefore the value (and the opportunity cost of the cash) is questionable.

In contrast, if we sort out FBs and CM (especially with HG players, and there are some around) we'll be in a massively better place.

If, thereafter, a really good AM comes up for grabs, great. But we have to make sure the others are sorted.

Been saying exactly the same the last few games. Absolute tank of a player who would bomb on and beat a man unlike trippier with his pure power and pace like his bursts through the middle.
Could be another Walker who also doesn't have too much technical ability !

Over the past three seasons he's scored 14 goals less than Son and provided as near as dammit equally as many assists. Playing for Crystal Palace, who don't exactly create a stream of chances every week.

That's if the site I looked at is to be believed :D

Guess the flip side of the argument is the call goes through Zaha at Palace but wouldn’t at Spurs.

But like Sigurdsson, lots of assists at a club where he is the main playmaker but less so at a better club.

Perez or Rondon could be Llorente replacements, both of them can run about a bit more.

100% agreed, Rondon wouldn't be a bad bet either.

I just feel like Perez will buy into Poch's ethos a little better than Rondon, but this is just a personal observation.

He seems very humble on the pitch and looks eager to work. He also has a bit of pace and trickery about him. He certainly isn't at the levels of a world class wing forward, but he is more than good enough as a bench option and so is Rondon.

Not every signing needs to have a shiny big name, sometimes an under the radar player like Perez would be the best bet for a bench option.

We could do much worse than one of these two to replace Llorente, and both would be available for a reasonable fee.

The flip flip side to that is that he'd get more chances (and quite possibly more assists) playing in a better team :D

Funny though, Rondon isn't actually owned by Newcastle so it's West Brom clubs would have to deal with.

Zaha for us would be a beast. You couldn't double up on him cos it would leave Son, Kane or Alli free. Zaha would tear up defences for us

Max Kruse would be an option that makes sense...10 goals and 9 assists this season shows he is a competent forward at scoring and creating.

Transfermrkt and Fifa (I know I know, but hang in there with me here...) say that he can play at CAM in that number 10 role, which could be a good way to utilise both him and Kane.

Reminds me a little of Thomas Muller in the way he plays and if we want a backup to Kane, they’ve got to be able to play more than one position.

Kruse on a free would be a smart piece of business imo

Sissoko starting CM next season? Really? I think if Sissoko is still in the first XI in CM after the summer window then something has gone desperately wrong.

I think we need to give him credit this season. I hated seeing him in our starting line up but since October he stepped up. If we get a player better then fine but I think we have other weaknesses that need addressing first such as wing backs and replacing Eriksen

Like Kane, Kruse also has a great range of passing and finishing. For me, on a free transfer, he's the ideal backup for Kane this summer.

Here's some highlights from his two most recent matches in the Bundesliga... Man on fire.

Im leaning towards not going for Sessegnon now too. We are all well aware that our funds are limited, we have some fairly major holes in our team/squad and I don't think Sessegnon helps with any of them. Before anyone suggests he would slot in at LB, his defending is a million miles from what it needs to be. Fulham have the worst defence in the league and they don't even risk him at LB or LWB.

The caveat on this I guess is that if he is available v.cheaply then it could make sense long term business wise.

IMO we need a HG third Keeper. Butland or Pope would be good but I doubt number 3 is where they see themselves.
We need attainable players who we can get deals done early so on that list I'd put as plausible;
Sessegnon, Mitrovic
Diawara
Brandt
Berge
Lascelles/ Longstaff
Grealish
Clarke

I'd be happy with any of those.

Of course we won't sign all of that lot but I'd say they were realistic targets for us and there are doubtless plenty of others. We could probably do one marquee signing. If we lose Eriksen I think Ziyech would be good, as would Werner. Wan Bissaka will become a great player and Poch could probably get a lot more out of him. Brookes likewise has masses of potential.
