Ideally keeping hold of eriksen would be preferable but we also need to add a back up to him to cover injuries and resting player's etc currently we don't have that option in 1/2 area's, it's going to be quite a challenge for the club to provide those type of funds and recruit quality options to sustain a real go at a title next year.

Yes ideally he stays and we get cover for him. What we can't be is complacent. United appear to be a mess but will go all out to fi their issues. Chelsea are hamstrung and can't buy players. Arsenal in Unai Emery have a good coach with proper strengthening of their squad they'll be competing again for 3rd/4th.

It is time however to make that leap forward no more settling for 3rd/4th. Time to give it a real go.

Do you even want to take on his massive contract for four years? One year, one go for the title, if he’s injured all year then you send him back.

1 year loan with no option to buy is pointless and risky IMO.

If we have him for a year then we can't plan for the future with him and he is more likely to settle at Spurs if he knows he doesn't have to go back at Madrid, plus if he settles for a year a deal is more likely to be agreed between the club and the player.

If Bale is indeed going on loan you'd think we'd be in with a decent shout. Takes out the crazy fee and after being treated like a dick by their fans why not come back to Spurs where we are now genuine trophy contenders and have world class facilities?

Son, Kane, Bale would be the best front 3 in the league hands down. Some home games you could even go with Dele and Eriksen behind. That's how you catch up with City and Liverpool for goals scored!

If we want something permanent Zaha or Pepe would be a great alternative too.

Has anyone considered the possibility that we go another transfer window without signing anyone :playful:

If that happened I reckon Levy would have to employ a whole battalion of ninjas to look after him. But meh, ninjas schminjas, we'd employ Chuck Norris.

With our young squad supported by an experienced spine of a World Cup winning keeper, two experienced centre backs, Sissoko and Eriksen in their primes the most sensible course of action is no business in or out this summer.

I am sure the SC will understand

So true, we don't want to do a Leeds, not at this stage and the grass definitely isn't always greener see: Fulham.
