Would anyone take Meunier?

I certainly would... and not only that but he has played with Verts and Toby (who i am certain will stay - just a hunch so not certain but hunch)

Hoping Poch might have changed his mind.

Nope i hold no such hope. We about to lose our best defender as a result of his stubbornness. He seemed to push Vincent Janssen out and bought in Llorente when what Janssen actually needed was another season and mire game time.

Poch is a great coach.... But in other areas he does fall short. Its plain for all to see that Tielemans has some quality and can only get better. Why Poch seems to think he won't make it beggars belief. Maybe it has to do with his quick tempo game. Poch seems to like the slower build up play.

There’s a few really good players out there that can help us improve the squad.

There’s a handful from Leicester that could slot in.

Replacing players like Lamela and Wanyama who haven’t contributed great amounts of minutes must be our target.

I'd love Brandt, Havertz, Ndombele etc but I'd be over the moon if we went all British and paid probably over the odds, for

Wan-Bissaka
Chilwell
Brooks
Sessegnon
Grealish
Che Adams

Add those and Toby/Eriksen staying and we're on our way!

Maybe unlikely, but I'd take a look at trying to get Foden too. Such a pisser that we missed out on Sancho after all the ITK saying we wanted each other. Gibbs-White looks a serious prospect too.

That eng u17's team has produced some amazing talent

Seen we've been linked with 25 year old Torino midfielder Meite.

I'm currently watching Torino v AC Milan on Sky 422.

He's playing, and he's shite. Bit of running about, opponents pretty much passing round him. Oh, and the much appreciated sideways passing.

Wey Hey. No thanks.

I know it's only one game, but feck me, a couple of times he's not even attempted to get involved with an opponent in possession no further than two feet away. Looks a lazy beggar to me.

I'd take Grealish over Tieliemans. The latter is good, but the former is the better all round player for Poch's style.

I think both have a lot of quality but Grealish gives more graft, he'd work harder off the ball which is such a big part of the game and an absolute requirement for Poch.

Yeah, and has showed that in abundance this season. We need more of those players who have the confidence to grab the game by the bollox.

Could of done with him yesterday where we let West Ham take over for too many spells.

Youcef Atal scored a hattrick for Nice as an inside forward. He'd give us the pacy powerful fullback that can control an entire flank.

Or we could target both, since Grealish is certainly more of a number 10 and Tielemans is an 8.

Im wondering who will pick up Zaha after his interview saying he wants to go to a CL team.

City and Liverpool - dont need him and I doubt they would go for him.
Utd - wont be back in for him
Arsenal - cant afford him + they hopefully wont be in the CL
Chelsea - I could see buying him as a Hazard replacement but they might be completely banned from signing players

That leaves us...Poch loves him, we know that. I doubt we would pay the money for him and Im not sure where he would fit in if Eriksen stays and we sign a good CM.

Or abroad. PSG has been linked already.

Yes time to get back to transfers where we had success in the past. If even add gomes and tielemans to the list, proven premier league loans, like when alderweireld proved himself at Southampton

When chasing a goal yesterday we had to bring on Llorente and Janssen. Lamela is nowhere to be seen and Alli is horrendously out of form. Zaha would have had plenty of minutes this season if he'd been here.

Pace has been a big issue with our squad for the last few years. It's great having Son and Lucas on the pitch together, stretching the opposition, countering quickly and dragging defences around, but in the second half of games when one or both starts to tire then what do we have to bring off the bench? I'd love to have someone else to maintain that level of intensity and speed against tired legs, but instead we bring on strikers who cannot run or defensive players. A player like Zaha who could cover multiple positions would have been perfect in these last few months.

He's been mentioned before by many of us, but Phillip Billing absolutely fits what Poch wants in a CM. Absolute unit, aggressive in the tackle, has shown the ability to spread the ball around a bit and would likely see a boost in passing accuracy with a more attack minded side. At 22, he also would bring some youth to midfield and would likely come at a reasonable fee. Would he be an amazing signing? Likely not. But, he does make a ton of sense and should give us some decent depth in an area we are so desperate for it.

If we sell Wanyama, he's probably a good bet as far as the replacement.

He’s considered HG, too. From earlier in the season...

If we want players who have a physical presence and break up play, then the likes of Billing/Berge would be excellent options.

However, I’d like to see us shift our focus towards players who can, first and foremost, retain possession under pressure and recycle it effectively. Winks can do that as well as press and tackle. I’d still love for us to move for Rabiot. Supposedly Barca and Madrid have cooled their interest. He and Winks would make a superb, modern-day duo at the base of our midfield.
