Right, here's a brand new thread for the discussion of Spurs related Tweets. That's Tweets, not formations, not will Levy back AVB, not spending over the last few transfer windows, just the Tweets.

@gstobart: For those tweeting me asking for Spurs news, there genuinely isn't any although lots of work being done behind the scenes #THFC

There's fucking always work being done behind the scenes it seems, however the clock is ticking away on that being worth sweet fuck all.

I'm keeping faith. I think Brasil Spurs sig could be fairly accurate by 31st August.

More bad news, anyone? (No idea on reliability of Gazzetta dello Sport though)

TouchlineDrama@TouchlineDrama
Gazzetta dello Sport say Juventus have agreed personal terms with Llorente. Now only agreeing a fee with Bilbao remains. €16m on the table…

TouchlineDrama@TouchlineDrama
The personal terms which Juventus have agreed with Fernando Llorente are a relatively modest €67,000 (that's £52,000) per week, 4-year deal.

If this is the case then we have dropped the ball. Unless of course Llorente didn't want to join us. On presumably more wages than that quote!

Juventus = Champions league football

+ We might, just might have all our ducks in a row.

The Metro reported a few days ago that he was on ~£40k a week at Bilbao and wanted double that, which isn't exactly the ridiculous £150k we had thought. Definitely gettable if that's the case, but lack of CL is probably the biggest issue.

Don't forget tax differences, 52k in Italy is not 52K in England (discounting the obvious currency differences)

Yes, several posters (myself included because I'm awesome like that) always disbelieved the 170k stuff. Why wouldn't he go to Juve? Champs, champions league football pretty much guaranteed every yr(either by success on the pitch or by brown envelopes). Think his wages will be a little further north or 50k though He's 27 - this is his one and only chance of a fat contract.

Might have had a good chance had we finished 3rd. Anyways, hoping for Ade or Leandro still.
