Fair enough. I definitely think it's worth posting in here. I was just unsure whether there was a rumour wave getting started, with one bit of misinformation sparking a chain of tweets and retweets.

...Yes...but lets not post crap from known wums and lets look at the twitter account of someone we do not know to see if the info looks credible before posting, We all want to look at info which might have legs.

Good example was from a month ago - saw great iinterestinmg rumour from a 'Spurs player' but when I looked the account was in existance for only 2 months, no tweets with other Spurs players. Guess what - not real. So I ignored it and did not post.

Simple checks befoe you post - ok ? ITK take with pinch of salt - but at least it may be true !

But this fella is no better or worse than any of the other "ITK" goons on Twitter yet most get posted. Again I ask how the policing of each individual is done? I think the "Transfer ITK" mug is a complete WUM, yet to another member he may be a decent source. No point shooting the messenger as I am only posting tweets into a "Twitter thread".

Trouble is it gets people excited, since people forget which ones are the WUMs, ends up in the other thread, and chaos follows. We should keep a list somewhere (first page?) of known WUMs to ignore. Also there are two sets of conversations going on over JJs tweets - in here and the ITK thread, getting confusing now.

edit: just avoid the prolific and blatant WUMs, otherwise this thread will be empty

Therein lies the problem with thius thread, It relies on self policing to ensure anything posted has had basic checks and may be credible

Regrettably a number of people seem to think its clever to wind people up with crap and just post it.

I suspect that if some levelo of responsibility is not taken by posters, then either people will need to be 'authorised' (just like being an ITK) to post on this thread or the thread is not allowed on SC.

With increasing numbers of tweeters, the level of crap will grow so unless there is a level in responsibility in postingh I cannot see too many other optiioms.

Sounds like an old fart - but that's the alternatives !

Exactly. I hate most of the shite that gets spouted by this lot but I was under the impression that we post in here if we feel it is worth discussing. The problem, as we have all pointed out, is that who is to decide which dick "ITK" is any more believable than the next?

Tbf though I think the Adebayor was his own opinion and this info is from a source he may or may not have. Just after that fiasco I wouldn't particularly trust him, but could well be wrong.
