We were apparently looking at half the keepers in Europe, including Benny's nut job Cameroon team-mate Kameni, compared to whom Gomes radiates a Zen-like calm. I think Skeletor would be OK and certainly wouldn't be looking to chuck my legs off the nearest tall building if we signed him, but I don't think he'd be an advance on what we have.

I'd have to agree about Stekeneleneneleneleenenelebergebegebrgebegrgebegr. Of course, he does have one advantage over them, well Brad and Carlo anyway.

SpursKing, that you?
Soz, editted. Second bit was about Steke...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Fuck typing all that out. From now on, he shall be known as Ian.

Isn't £9m not far off what we're apparently offering for Lloris though?

Joe Allen would be a much better fit in terms of trying to replicate what Modric provides for our system but then I can definitely see the virtue of pursuing a player like Dembele who has all the attributes to push on and achieve things at a higher level - its just slightly harder to fit him in to our system.
I would rather Dembele, has demonstrated a bit of everything since moving into midfield for Fulham.

Great quality on the ball and can glide past players with ease. That's one of the things I think we lacked under Harry...not enough driving forward from central areas of the pitch that disrupts the oppositions shape and can create more room for others. Too many times last season the opposition were able to sit deep and defend relatively comfortably.

I've watched Dembele closely and his ability to surge forward like that could be a real weapon for us in terms of creating that space for the likes of Bale, VDV etc.

His physical presence and appetite for the tackle is impressive to. In a midfield three I think he could be the business for us.

Don't think we need to replace Modric with a vastly inferior player albeit who's more similar.

You know what, since we appointed AVB, both these guys make more sense, and neither would be terrible signings, both for less than Moutinho would be very reasonable business.

I used to think Dembele's end product was a bit meh, for an attacking midfielder with clear ability, but if you think of him as one of the middle three, all of a sudden he makes more sense.

But if it's one, I agree with Felmani, Allen quietly impresses me wheneer I watch him. He's one of those players that doesn't make a big splash, but just goes about his business very effectively. He's a player who would fit our new system (if we play as we all think we will) perfectly.

Yeah Allen is definitely a quietly effective type. Reads the game well and passes intelligently. I just think we could do with having someone that offers us some drive from the middle of the pitch and then when creating those drives forward - knows what to do with the ball etc, and obviously has the ability to spot a pass as well. Allen might be a safer option actually but personally I think Dembele has a lot of scope to improve - very talented and his physical presence and tackling ability also gives him the edge for me as well.

I would assume "Outgoings" means faxed offers to the countries in question.......Anyway I have posted in the ITK thread where it should have been originally guys.

It could be either with Akqa, he's not the most logical when it comes to info. As it is if it is incomings he's already wrong if the Holland link is Skeletor, he plays for Roma, that's in Italy.

I don't understand the Champ thing, either. Unless you consider the "Champ" to be Real Madrid. Then what would the Spain be for? Ah God dammit, Akqa's drunk tweeting has got us all flustered again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me 1038058 times, ah shit I give up.
