Anyone seen Reo Griffiths play. Would like another opinion on him

http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/02/1...-tottenham-wonderkid-reo-griffiths-after-21s/

Quite a few of us are fans. Big, strong and powerful. He's comfortable receiving the ball in tight spaces, doesn't mind playing with his back to goal. Has a similar game to Kane around the box. Gets the ball, feels the defender and then uses his power to wriggle free and get off an early shot. He's still relatively new to the position having played just about everywhere else in his time with us. When I first came across him he was a marauding centre back. Then he was tried out at right back for a short period, then central midfield, then about 18 months to two years ago they thought he was going to settle down as a right winger. He was always scoring goals wherever they played him and so I suppose it was no surprise that in the end they've turned him into a striker.

Don't know if its news or even terribly interesting but looking through new contracts registered by the FA in the month of December I see that Keanan Bennetts, TOB, Sam Shashoua & Japhet Tanganga have all signed new deals.

Genuine question to all you fantastic youth watchers.

What is the story with all the hyphenated surnames? Seems to be a disproportionate amount coming through the youth ranks.
Whats up with that? As i said genuine question as you just don't see that over here.

seems inevitable if we can't give our youth players the chance to develop their career

Interesting. Wonder if we can secure KWP and Onomah loans in the bundesliga? Seems more German teams are open to securing English talent.

If we are unable to address the amount of game time our youngsters want/need it seems almost inevitable. Not encouraging for those who have stuck it out with us.

Out of curiosity, in the last 20 years or so how many players that we have discarded or rejected as youths have gone on to play regular PL football?

Some may say it’s too early. But personally I’d give Griffiths ago in the 2nd striker role. He will be 18 and physically looks like he could handle it. If we sign another AM as is being muted then we still have Son as cover as well. I’d like to see a sort of foyth role playing time wise. I know he’d be leapfrogging sterling but of the two I feel he has more potential.

Me, youth fan: Go lad. Go take that dice roll and see what happens. Definitely not worse odds of breaking through.

Me, Spurs fan: We need to adopt a Barca like model of trying, when possible, to sell some of these fringe breakthrough talents on buyback deals to clubs that would be receptive to the notion.

Can we not just do a loan for 12/24 months instead of selling or, as @Univarn says, have a buy back clause if not.
Seems the best way forward now we are such a strong outfit squad wise.
Can't see youngsters getting much opportunity with all the pressure there must be on Poch and co to deliver set targets.
The loan/ sell idea would give players more chance to reach their potential and also the club to get either a good player or a good fee from selling.

NB.. I'm assuming Poch has targets to meet each season ie: CL or/and good cup run/trophy.
