I know theres a bunch of smoke that Griffiths is leaving but I dont think we'd be giving him so much time if he was definitely off. Hope he stays.

I don’t see what harm a bench place on Wednesday would do for Griffiths. First it’s a nice reward for his fantastic form. Second it gives the Academy kids belief and I think gives out the right message that if you perform you’ll be rewarded.

I’ve never seen Reo Griffiths play.

How does he compare to Kaziah Sterling in terms is style of play, touch, pace, strength etc when Sterling was the same age?

griffiths is bigger and more physical, a hustle and bustle type striker. sterling is smaller but works a bit harder off the ball in terms of closing down and running channels, he's quicker and likes to hang off the shoulder of defenders. griffiths holds the ball up better - though i thought sterling had his best game in this regard the other day against monaco. i think both are a bit rough technically, i haven't seen loads of griffiths this season though so maybe he's improving but he's always looked a bit unnatural with the ball to me and he has a strange upright running style, he looks like he shouldn't be that good but clearly he's very effective and has that instinct of being in the right place.

if a first team space was to open up for either(there won't be but anyway ..) i'd still go with sterling for now, let's see what griffiths has at u23 level first - if he's still with us by then.

Not too dissimilar to early descriptions of Kane...(not necessarily style, just that Kane never looked the part, until he started scoring goals...)

Get that lad following Kane round the training ground - and rewatching every highlights real of his touches, movement and all round game.
Its interesting, I wonder if Spurs ever get all the "strikers" together for a shooting session? Not a full training session, but let the youngsters work next to Kane and see how he prepares and trains. I'd like to think that would pay massive dividends if they saw up close how much work and effort Kane puts in.

I think Kane started to look the part a few months after training under Poch and his coaches.

10 in the league(19 in total), let's bear in mind harry winks only has 12 league starts to date(which is the same as alexander-arnold) so you can't really play down how much taa has played. this season arsenal have played maitland-niles(21 apps), nelson(14 apps), willock(9 apps), nketiah(7 apps), da silva(3 apps), akpom, sheah, mcguane(all 2 apps). chelsea have played ampadu and musonda(both 7 apps), hudson-odoi(3 apps), sterling(2 apps), scott, clarke-salter and boga(all 1 app). mctominay's played 14 times for utd and in some very big games. spurs have kwp(7 apps), sterling, georgiou and tob(1 app each)

i won't go through every club but i'm pretty sure we are not "about the same as others", not this season.

Arsenal have been in the europa league so it's a bit harsh to compare our records when they've basically had a reserve competition to play in

Ampadu and musonda didn't come through chelseas academy, unless you were going to include foyth aswell as a just a young player getting games

McTominay is clearly just a pawn in Mourinhos battle with pogba and is being thrown into games he's clearly not ready for. I suppose it's still integrating a youth player but it's not for the right reasons and that taints it a bit for me.

Klopp has done well with TAA though tbf

Apparently there were sarcastic cheers from Villa fans when Onomah was taken off after 60 minutes today.

What's Griffiths like for pace? Who is he similar to in this regard?

Pace is decent but not electric. He’s just got all the ingredients of good old fashioned centre forward much like a Kane Lukaku drogba. Big strong physical type.

He's getting an absolute kicking at the moment.

The Villa fans want shot of him. Worst thing is they went on to win after he was hooked in the 60th.

Just got to hope the adversity makes him want to make it even more to prove a few people wrong.

You have to wonder whether what's gone on this season with Onomah and Edwards will have Poche thinking he was right all along on the dubious benefits of loans.
