You can’t teally compare Griffiths with Sancho. He was probably with Foden and Hudson odoi the brightest talent of his year. Tbh considering city have given Foden a chance surprised they didn’t offer same to Sancho.

Holland probably have about 90% possession and Ireland struggle to put more than five passes together so it's hard to tell you what kind of player he is.

Reo Griffiths uploaded and quickly deleted this on Instagram. ”Last few days in this changing room” and he tagged Tariq Hinds, both of them were rumoured to leave View attachment 38072
Plus Mukendi is clearly leaving, according to that also

Kirby is 18yrs old gone January. Skip plays for our under 23 at 17. These boys cannot expect to get in a first team at 17-18 unless they are top notch which they are not. Sancho is an exception. I don’t think Griffiths will come back to bite us
I agree, but you're making the assumption that if they are 'top notch' which is subjective they would get a chance here. These 'top notch' players aren't even getting chances at 21, so why would he stick around when players like him aren't getting games. Kirby actually intended to go to Chelsea. However if he did go there, while he might not have made their first team he would likely have got a quality loan, to develop himself rather than hang around and trian with the first team here.

Also, these players aren't exceptions. They are only exception when the original perception is none are good enough for the Premier League. 75% of the players that represent England are either good enough for the Premier League now or will be in the future depending on which age group they are playing at, however only about 5% are playing in the top 5 European Leagues and 4% of those are probably abroad. The last couple of percentages are obviously rough and may be well off, but they are clearly being underused.

I also don't think Griffiths is top notch especially right now nor will bite us on the ass but the threshold of ability required to play in leagues other than the Premier League are a lot lower. If he goes abroad it makes perfect sense. All these players that we desire, from the leagues abroad would not have come through in the Premier League and we consider them top quality now. Would you have considered Lookman top notch? He was decent at Charlton not getting proper chances at Everton and has done better in the Bundesliga than Sancho has, statistically speaking. Mount is tearing up the Eredivisie, which he wouldn't be doing if he stayed at Chelsea, he is outperforming Kluivert who's considered an exception or special, but will no doubt go back to Chelsea and get stuck while Kluivert gets signed to a top club and played. I find it ridiculous that people expect these players to just stay here, in the hope that they might get a chance here when they're 22, when they could chance their arm elsewhere in the hope of better development opportunties, whether it be joining a top club who offer better loads or moving permanently to a club willing to play them more.

You can’t teally compare Griffiths with Sancho. He was probably with Foden and Hudson odoi the brightest talent of his year. Tbh considering city have given Foden a chance surprised they didn’t offer same to Sancho.

City would have attempted to bring through Sancho, Foden and Diaz. It wouldn't have happened, Sancho made the right decision.

Re: Griffiths, he is probably the 3rd striker in line in his age group. The first is Brewster who is also looking to go abroad. 2nd is Loader who plays for a Championship club and is likely to get chances, the only other comparable ones, play for WBA and Wolves and they have scored nowhere near as many goals as Griffiths this year. In HIS mind, the one of a confident footballer in great form, he probably thinks that he may be good enough to play first team football now, or in the next year. What's his other option? Stay here? What chance does he have here, other than fans, just saying 'if he is good enough he will get a chance' what does that actually look like. Not promising to him.

No matter what he does, or ends up, the chances are he hasn't reduced his chances of playing top level football. Even Oteh has played a few games for QPR. Where's Harrison's career going to end up? I think he was more talented than Griffiths, he might as well chance his arm.

And depending on which way you look at it, it's getting better/worse. Without setting off alarm bells, as there is ZERO indication this player is leaving, and I'm not going to comment who it is. One of our very talented and promising youth players actually commented on a positive post of Sancho on instagram acknowledging that Sancho never played for City's first team, and got into Dortmunds first team and is playing in the Bundesliga and talking about his huge potential. it could be someone managing it, but regardless people are recognising this and they are seeing a 17 year old, who's had all the 'where does he think he is believing he can play first team football' comments is actually proving to be a success. Will they all be successes? of course not, but go abroad and have a 60% chance of getting a chance or stay in England have a 1% chance of getting a shot, being highly dependent on injuries occurring.

all the attention is on griffiths but hinds going would be a real loss too. he's a quality little player and in many ways i'm more confident in him reaching a higher level than reo.

That would be he loss. And again who could blame him, when you hear ITK saying that if we want RS we need to bring in his brother, why on earth would you stick around. Like you I believe he has a lot better shot of being a successful footballer somewhere. He has the ability to play in the Top 5 leagues, not quite as a electrifying as KWP but serious ability in there nonetheless

I know I missed all the talk over the Ipswich game, but @lilywhiterose posted that Cirkin was MOTM. I really think that tournament everyone saw him occurred during a big blip in form.

Also I think our u14/15s played another Ipswich side at the same time, and won 3-1, Haysman got an assist and scored a freekick

Lovely cushion touch on the volley to tee up the one two, also a couple of minutes before that he dropped a little piece of skill to slip past a couple of defenders.

Also worth noting he is full year younger than this age group

Very well placed penalty. Was wondering if it was going to reach the net at one point though.

Maybe Reo knows Parrot is a more complete player and can tell he won't be getting a shot? This Parrot kid seems to be everywhere right now.
