Only Skipp georgiou and Amos from what I can see. Thought they’d be a few more. Seems quite significant Skipp is there considering he is still an U18.

This might be a stupid question but I don't know why I can't identify this player? anyone know who he is?

Not sure about that, I'm sure there have been a few other times were u18s have trained with the first team. Either way, and I'm not sure why it was reported, wasn't there an article that said he wouldn't be involved with the first team anyway

With so many still at the World Cup, we might need a few of these young players in the first team squad.

What have the first years been like this year? Heard good things about Troy Parrot, was wondering if Teemu Taino's boy was any good too.

Who are the stand outs?

parrott is only just now a 1st year, he was an u16 last season - he does look very promising though so looking forward to seeing more of him this season.

maxi tainio looks ok, didn't play much earlier on but started to get a few more games towards the end of the season splitting time between rb and cb, he looks more suited to the latter as he has decent strength and defensive instincts but isn't particularly quick or forward thinking enough to be a full back. there are two stand outs from last season's 1st years imo, the first is obviously oliver skipp (dm) and the other is brooklyn lyons-foster (cb). skipp you've probably heard about but in case you haven't then he's a bit of a modern-day scott parker, a very mature player for his age. lyons-foster i think someone put it well when they said he looks like a typical ajax academy cb. he has great composure and ability on the ball, decent pace, reads situations well, he still needs time to develop physically but he has a lot about him. i also like dilan markanday(rw/am) a lot, i wouldn't put him at the same level as the other two but he's an exciting player capable of quality in the final third, he's similar to the likes of edwards and shashoua in terms of stature though so again will depend on how he grows physically in the next few years.

Parrott is excellent but he's only joining fulltime this pre-season. Tainio has just completed his first year. He's tidy without being a standout at anything. He's a jack of all trades, he can play defensive midfield, fullback and centre back. Its possible he's got a career as a player in a top European league but at this stage I very much doubt it.
