Seen a rumour a while ago that Jaden Brown had really kicked on and was rated very highly within the club?

Along with a young player who got called up to train with englands senior squad dylan something?

Will Miller played LB in some of our tour games last pre-season, so it'll be interesting to see if Jaden Brown, who is an England age group international, gets some minutes in the States.

Dylan Duncan is the other player I suspect you're thinking of.

I can only think that for some reason they didn't want to completely plunder the development squad and leave it severely weakened for their friendly matches, and that its better for some of them to be playing matches for the U21's rather than making up the numbers for training sessions and maybe a token sub appearance. Hence mix and match selections and a few strange calls.

Tsaroulla is injured I think he was not at the Fleet match the other day.

Out of Brown and Tsaroulla it is 50-50 as to which one is better, for me it is Brown but both are very good players and both can make the breakthrough given the chance.

Did you mean to say Tanganga is injured?

If so, that would explain why Dinzeyi got the nod.

Dinzeyi ahead of Tanganga & Eyoma, and Georgiou ahead of Shashoua are the biggest surprises for me.

No Marcus Edwards is the biggest disappointment.

No Sterling either, after we were told he was going to the US.
Georgiou taken as a LB and not LW

Tanganga may be injured, I dont like the fact Eyoma is used as a RB a lot

Thanks. It'll be interesting to see who Poch gives minutes to at LB when he rests Davies pre-season.

The choices appear to include KWP (better at RB), Jaden Brown (a natural LB) and two utility players who can play LB in Miller and Georgiou.

SPURZINHO: Excellent breakdown o,f Spurs U16. Do you know anything about the following (who were part of the U15 squad last year): - Max Robson, D'jean Spencer , Marcus Muir , Sashon Aird Munn, Christian Carter , Josh Gray.

Thanks

To those who know. What do you think of jack roles? Only ever seen snippets so can't judge.

You figure KWP will probably get his minutes at RB - I don't think Poch will play Dier there

Maybe GKN as a very advanced wingback...

Yup - I'd much rather KWP gets an opportunity on the right - whether in a back 4 or as a wingback - because he's much more effective as an attacking force on that side of the pitch.

I don't think Poch will dare play Dier as a RB until the tranfer window has closed.... ;)

By my reckoning D'Jean Spencer was part of the group that's just joined the academy full time, in which case he didn't make the grade. Its not impossible that I'm wrong on that but it would mean that he's been playing at least 2 years up for the last couple of seasons. I'm sure he played U16 football 2 years ago which, if he's 15ish now, would mean he would have been 13 then which just doesn't seem right.

Max Robson, Marcus Muir, Christian Carter, Josh Gray & Shashon Aird Munn I know to look at but very little about them. Carter is fairly small, Munn is a tall lad as is Gray.

Good player. I like him a lot. He can play pretty much in any central position. I've seen him play centre half in his younger days. He's best just behind a striker, he links up well without being a creative wiz but his main strength is late runs into the box for crosses, cut backs, corners and free kicks. He can score tap ins, volleys, headers, left or right foot. He has the "knack". He has the look of a player that is going to be very effective if never wowing you with their skill or pace. People laughed at me a while ago when I compared him to Harry Kane but they totally missed the point. Harry didn't stand out until he was maybe 18. Before then he was average sized, slow and a tad clumsy but he worked his arse off for the team, knitting things together and getting on the end of things. As he grew and developed he became harder and harder to ignore but even today he has rough edges. His touch can be iffy at times, his pace isn't great, he's not a technical wiz he's just absolutely bloody effective. Lampard was the same. Greatest player of his generation no chance but the most effective? Right up there. Now, I'm not saying that Roles is going to reach that standard because odds are he probably won't but people said exactly the same about Kane & Lampard. They were fat, they were slow, they were clumsy, they didn't have enough pizzazz.

Any idea why Shashoua didnt make the cut. Wasnt he on the bench at the end of last season? Was hoping to see him.

Probably because he's not ready for men's football. He's a lovely player when he's playing against players of his size and strength but against the bigger lads, like against Chelski, he really struggled. I fully suspect that we'll see Shashou stay in the U23's for a good couple of seasons to primarily see if he thickens up a bit. Cy Goddard, who was another lovely player suffered from the same problem. Lovely player (not quite as effective as Shashoua) but he was just so small and lightweight and didn't have any kind of pace to speak of. It just made him really isolated and vulnerable against any side that had average sized midfielders and defenders. With Shashoua it's a waiting game. He's not big, he's not strong, he's not lightening quick over distance and he definitely needs to improve off the ball.

Im just surprised Shashoua, Sterling and Harrison arent included. I expected Edwards to be out as he was just at euros a few days ago.
