I can't be bothered to check but I'm fairly certain a lot of these players played in this competition last year and the level looked beyond them. Not this season though. Maybe the experience of playing in the competition last year really helped.
Hopefully the same will be said of the senior team.

It seems like Poch would absolutely love Skipp. Not only is he a tenacious little fucker with some quality on the ball but he also, and I know this is a cliche, literally covers every blade of grass. He's got through a mountain of work this half.

Love the look of Shashoua as well. He's got a lovely touch and nice balance when carrying the ball, seems to have the ability to see and pick a pass that others can't as well. The only thing that would hold him back, and it seems to be a concern for Poch, is his size.

This has been nearly as enjoyable as the first team winning at Everton last weekend. Good show, boys.

I'm not sure I see that yet.

But he does look like the sort of lad who's weekend highlight is getting home and polishing his boots, before getting on the sofa for MOTD....
It might be his running style, but the way he is getting the ball then passing off the turn just reminds me of Stevie G

Marcus absolutely going about this the right way by the way. Working hard and playing a team game while excelling on his own. Looks like Poch has had a word about how he paves a route to the first team to me.

So, does that group get to play together often, or are they on different teams?

Looked to be a great performance - with just a few individual quibbles.

Sashoua isn't that short, he's just got a slender frame. But thats something he can work on, much better than Mason was at his age, and frankly in his position its not unusual.

Size isn't as a big deal as people make though. When Barca where at their peak they were also the shortest side in Europe. What matters is balance, having a low center of gravity and sometimes developing some upper body strength.
