While I personally agree, I'm not so sure the same can be said of Pochettino. He seems to favour players who are big, strong and powerful runners. Eriksen is really the only exception to this, but what he lacks in power he makes up for in aerobic capacity.Sashoua isn't that short, he's just got a slender frame. But thats something he can work on, much better than Mason was at his age, and frankly in his position its not unusual.
Size isn't as a big deal as people make though. When Barca where at their peak they were also the shortest side in Europe. What matters is balance, having a low center of gravity and sometimes developing some upper body strength.
That's not to say that a player can't make it under him if they're not powerful, but he does seem to prefer that type of player.
