I watched him play in the Victory Shield, I can only find 2 of the games on youtube. In general I do like him and he looks a very good player. He is one who catches the eye especially with his low socks and tall/stocky frame. Against NI I thought he came across as talented but very careless. He had an arrogance about him and strolled a bit but they clearly saw him as a threat. He would start running when the ball came close to him. He strangely reminded me of Ibrahimovic or Berbatov in that sense. He along with Okoflex were the most threatening players.

Against Scotland he was better, and he was at the heart of all of their good moves, he has a powerful shot and carries the ball well. he actually played as a no.10 for ROI. He should some skill and good feet and a nasty side as he hacked Dembele (the smallest player on the field) in frustration.

Overall I'm very excited by him, I think he would look good playing with our very talented academy players, I'd be interested to see how he plays as an actual 9. I can't be arsed to go through and pick out moments, but if you just click to half time in both those matches it will show very brief highlights. In the NI games he scores a pen, against Scotland his shot from outside the box hits the bar and then gets knocked in. You should be able to tell who he is as you watch but if you're not sure he is the no.9. Also against Scotalnd there was a moment where he stood up the defender on the side of the box, with some stepovers and chipped the ball which hit the post after going over the keepers head. The commentators also were very complimentary saying how everything goes through him and he is almost a one man team. Seems like good scouting so far.

scotland match. 39 mins hell of a shot and ireland scored from rebound

I'm a bit pissed so might be missing something. He can stay at derby and progress his career, he can leave and another club would have to pay £120k to get him or derby can deem him not good enough and waive the transfer fee and let him go somewhere else for free?

Don't see a problem.

When you see Madrid paying was it £46 million for a 16 year old, this seems an odd outburst. This stinks of sour grapes and spoilt brat mentality.

Purchases of 15 year olds 'via tribunal' or undisclosed settlements must far exceed the £120,000 in many cases. The only example I concretely know of was a 'tens of thousands' payment wether legal or otherwise of someone I know payed by a current prem league club to another current prem league club for the transfer of a 15 year old, but that was approx 1987.

only saw the 2nd half but he was very good again, he's had about 8 or 9 really impressive performances at lb for england over the past few months now. i love how often he manages to find his way out of positions where it looks like there's practically nowhere for him to go.

I couldn't find a stream. I love how the u21s are doing so well for England atm. Haven't been completely stifled yet, but relatively inexperienced. Everyone threw a hissy fit as they haven't seen them play properly and not earned their place yet we're looking good.

England as a nation is in the most unique situation. Any other nation and England 10 years ago would have all of their top players coming through and whoever played the best would generally earn caps.

England now is in a situation, where earning a cap means either going with experience or talent. Most want to go with experience and that's where England lack of depth with any players with actual ability as none come through. I like that Southgate has chosen t go via the talent route as he knows the young players and they are doing well. It seems the best way to blood the youngsters n the future is via the national side. They get their chance there and maybe their respective clubs *cough* Chelsea *cough* might start taking notice, or a top 6 club buys em.

Shame Abraham signed that contract wish we had him as backup to Kane

KWP has to go out on loan second half of the season doesn't he?

Can premier league clubs loan from each other for only 6 months though? He's too good for the championship.

Yeah was thinking about KWP this morning. Not sure what’s gonna happen with him.Wonder if there’s any room for another position as RB/LB looking blocked off.Actually think he’d make a decent DM.I know he’s not very big but neither is kante.Hes very good in the tackle rarely see him beaten 1 on 1 and good in tight spaces.Just trying to think outside box as really don’t want to lose him ,think he will end up better than Aurier and Trippier.

although i think he could hold his own in the prem i'd be ok with him getting a championship loan as long as it's to a decent side like sheffield utd, he's only been full-time with the first team for less than a year though so i don't think he's at the stage where poch would let him go out. january could be interesting for edwards though, i've always maintained it's best for him to stay here but i don't know, i could be wrong but i kind of just get the feeling that he's not even really on poch's radar at the moment so if teams come in for him and he wants to go out and play then it could happen - on loan that is, not permanently.
