Without knowing the ins and outs of Monaco, Porto or Salzburg, on paper that appears a very good possible route to the semi finals for us. All ties are one-off games and we've been drawn at home in both the last 16 and quarter final if we beat Monaco.

Monaco finished runners up in a relatively easy looking group (that Porto won) then just squeezed through their play off on penalties against Molde.

Salzburg qualified via the Champions route and very impressively beat Sporting CP 5-2 in the play-off - they could be our biggest challenge of the 3.

FWIW if we reach the semis, we'd be against the winner of the top game there (i.e. Bayern, Real Madrid, Chelsea or Feyenoord).

monaco beat us twice last season and salzburg are the holders, i know the teams will have changed a bit but there will be some overlap too. we have a strong team though(even without edwards) so we have a decent chance of going far in the comp, helps that both games are at home as well.

So who’s on loan that would have been eligible Just Edwards that would have made team? Is Foyth available? Age goes from when tournament starts so he was 19. Is it 19 and Under or actually only under 19.

foyth can't play as they need have to have been here for at least two years, plus he wouldn't play anyway even if he could. the squad is here - though hasn't been updated yet

hopefully poch lets tob out to play but he'll probably miss these games so he can train instead.

The guy who scored a hat-trick for Monaco in their 3-2 win is too old now (and also out on loan anyway), so that's one important thing I guess!

Wow, two incredibly strong U19 teams. That's a tough draw, but a great test, shame Edwards won't be around for those games.

Didn't realize we'd listed Tsaroulla as a forward. Has he been playing more LW rather than LB recently?

he's not played at all this season, was in a car crash apparently.

not sure why he's listed as a forward, he has played lw and #10 occasionally but is almost always at lb.

Those Chinese New Year's T-shirt certainly were, well, errr... not meant to target the Chinese (speaking) market

Edwards not even on the bench for Norwich today.

didn't help that they signed a bunch of players at the end of the window. could probably do with them losing a couple of games as they're probably not going to change anything while they still have a chance of getting into the playoffs.
