You mean that Edwards will be spouting shit on TV? :cat:

I hope he goes on to have a career ( not at our expense) which gives him the status to ' spout shit on TV ' at high profile games.( I personally think Souness is one of the more knowledgeable pundits who often is pro Spurs, at least at European games)

His dad is a top bloke, I highly doubt it

If he was white, would we be saying this

I feel sometimes people see a teenage mixed race kid who is a bit moody and paint their own picture

The idea he is as bad as morrison, is laughable, seriously comparing him to a guy who was in trouble with the law is insane

Mason couldnt muster it at the championship yet the season after he was in league one, was our most influential player
Kane wasnt doing well for leicester but the season after was in our first team, shit vardy was getting a dogs abuse at the same time and couldn't get in to the leicester team over nugent and wood
Rose couldnt cut it at bristol yet a month later was LB for us against Man City

WTF has that got to do with it? I don’t think his race has been mentioned once in this thread. I can’t believe it’s on anyone’s mind.

What’s on people’s minds is that they are worried/annoyed that it seems like a really talented player from our academy seems to not be living up to his potential for whatever reason, which isn’t 100% clear. That’s beyond obvious isn’t it.

Unfortunately I agree. Tough love in this case probably means we release him. It may save his career. Bill Nick did it with Graeme Souness ( sold him for a pittance) and looked what happened to him!
Souness ran off home to Edinburgh . He was in a strop cos he couldn’t get in the first team at 17. We didn’t want to lose him. Same youth team as perryman...if only he had stayed with us

In the end Soueness said, "put me in the team, or sell me," and Bill Nic didn't take too kindly to it, even though he knew he could be Mackay's successor, and sold him. One of those "what if" moments.

But it made him the player he became. It took him down a peg or two and made him realise he had to work much harder. Now if we could do the same with Edwards without losing him THAT would be an achievement.

That’s not true at all, which one of his team-mates at Liverpool said “if he was chocolate, he’d eat himself.”
He’s always been an arrogant tosser, probably why he was such a combative nuisance on the pitch.

Yes, agree he was arrogant, the best players often are and it is linked to self belief. But his sale to the football equivalent of Siberia at the time, would have have sent him a message that he had no G-d given right to be in the team. Liverpool didn't then buy him on the basis of what he did at Spurs.

What's the situation with Roles these days?
Scored lots of goals from midfield last year but game time limited this season. Was likened to Dele - do you guys see a future for him at Spurs ( not withstanding fact that IG reckons all youth should leave as none will breakthrough).

People saying release Edwards, how lovely.

How about as supporters, we simply back him and not talk crap about him when we really don’t know all or maybe even any of the facts.

Pretty even start, we’ve been in some good positions but TOB’s cutbacks have been poor.
