Just my opinion on Roles but he’s not a player that really makes you sit up and take notice. Yes there’s end product as in goals but it’s just a little bit laboured. But I guess much was said the same of Kane. I just think it will be incredibly tough for him when you think he’s essentially competing with eriksen dele moura Son Lamela for a starting spot. You to look at someone like Townsend and say even if he got to that level. A very accomplished PL player and England international, he still wouldn’t get a look in with us. I think it’s where someone like Edwards has more of a chance imo just because he has that wow factor, even though I’d rate Edwards chance as slim.
I honestly believe that if Roles had started out at a club like MK such as Dele had, Jack would have been just as accomplished as Alli. They are both remarkable simarly players imo, while they arent the most flashy of players, they are incredibly effective. They both have excellent football brains, that set them apart from their peers.

I think Roles gets over looked in an academy setup bc he simply just doesnt look like a technically superior player, but Im confident if Jack can survive the mental traps of modern football that he'll be one of the most successful players of those currently coming through.

However his journey wont be with Tottenham.

name-wise a very strong and attacking line up but a couple of questionable choices in terms of position.

Just bc I don't feel he gets talked about enough but I love BLF, and he'd be one Ill be very sad when he inevitable struggle to transition into the first team.

agreed. he has the most potential of all the centre backs i've seen since following our academy.

and he's just scored to make it 1-1 (still don't want him at rb to become a thing though).

There is some serious attacking talent on show there. Three defenders in total. We're obviously going for possession and playing in their half.

as much i want to see him at cb as much as possible, i do recognise its very good for our cbs to get some time at fb to get used of playing in wide areas of the pitch. Really feel thats why Toby and Jan are some of the best ball playing cbs in the world today.

edwards watch: quiet first 30, more involved after though including a run where he danced past about four defenders before laying it off to a teammate to hit the post. has also been fouled a lot with one of those free kicks leading to excelsior's opener. does get lost in the game a fair bit and seems to get bypassed by his teammates a lot of the time, just needs to demand the ball more rather than hoping they'll find him.

You lot are going to have to keep a eye on Rafferty Pedder this year now he is back.

I have been waiting for over a year to watch Pedder play and what I could see from his small cameo appearance today you lot will Love this player.

First off not many people have seen him play in over a year because of his injuries, so let me tell you how he has changed since maybe a few of you last saw him play,he has got a lot bigger and he is about the same size as Maxi Tainio but the thing that surprised me today was his speed, he is a lot faster than I remember and he can use both feet he has excellent movement off the ball and the Lad can pass a ball as well.

He came on just after we got our 4th goal and it was his shot that Binks scored the rebound from with his looping header over the keeper.

It will take Pedder a long time to get into this very good u18s team but he is as Talented as any other player in that Squad just need to stay away from injuries.

Very lively when he came on, however, yes you're right. He'll have to do incredibly well to get a starting spot in this excellent team.
