It's not realistic think Skipp and Amos could handle the responsibility of being main CMs in the PL straight away. It's the hardest position to play in the PL, with almost constant pressure and decision making going on all the time. I would definitely like to see tham get some proper minutes, but if the injuries situation with Wanyama and Winks is not looking good, and with Dembele always a worry, we need some strengthening there.
Also, Carter-Vickers still doesn't look like he can handle playing the high line and bringing the ball out that Poch needs in his system. It takes a very talented and confident player to play like Verts, Toby and even Sanchez struggled with it at times. He'd probably be Ok in the PL at a team that sits deeper, and doesn't require him to ball play out.
This is a genuine question, but who would scare you more in a CM2 in the PL net season, Sissoko or Skipp (or Amos)?
I've never been CCV's biggest fan, but wasn't he the one that actually saved us a couple of times when our high line got sprung in these last couple of games. Like I said, I'm not as big a fan of CCV as some, and I'd always thought he looked a bit slow on the turn, but I thought he handled some lively opponents reasonably well in the last two games.
