The only reason it's not realistic is because we doubt Poch would be brave enough to do it. But I can't think of a single footballing reason why Sissoko would play in a CM2 ahead of Skipp (or Onomah or Amos). Skipp is better in every way. Even his basic control of a football is better. He reads and snuffs out danger better, is more dynamic, he doesn't treat the ball like a live hand grenade and his passing is more assured.

his not a footballer his more man muscle, I agree though his short term I think Skip and Amos offer far more on the ball.

Skipp is an unbelievable talent.

He was amazing at U18 and U23 level and he's just carried that on this summer on this tour at first team level.

I'd have him in and around the first team squad, he's ready imo. He gets stuck in, he's tenacious, energetic, composed and he has amazing game intelligence considering his age.

I do think he’s something pretty special. Just looks so fearless.

I reckon Poch will have him around this year, but hold him back a little as his body is still growing and filling out. Probably next year is the one for him.

Wow Skippy! Just watched the whole game & he is a super super player. Very mature head on young shoulders and was the best player in the middle of the pitch, including both teams!

Would be a disaster if we keep giving time to Sissoko as a CM or buy someone from the bargain bin instead of giving Onomah or Skipp minutes. If those can't get game time with our current midfield options I won't fault any youngster leaving us.

Would love to see Skipp given opportunity at defensive midfield.

If we start season with Aurier over KWP and Sissoko over Skipp I really will dispair.

I didn't watch the match v Milan but according to the pre-season thread KWP was good going forward but got caught out a few times going the other way. Sounds similar to Aurier?

Skipp reminds me of Winks so much in terms of the way he plays, hopefully he gets some minutes, may even be worth loaning him not sure though.

I don't think you could ever describe an Aurier performance as good going forward, but KWP was fine defensively. Only thing I can't think off was late on when we lost shape a bit and the whole back line was too high and caught out.

Timi Sibowale a CB from Waterford and a Eire U16 international who had trials at Spurs has signed scholarship forms for Man City. Interestingly his favourite football ground is ....Tottenham Hotspur! I wonder why he signed for City rather than Spurs - one will never know - could possibly be that he sees a pathway to the first team there! Same could be said for Ben Knight. I would never suggest its just money. ( If so whose to blame them).

I'd thought City can only sign academy players who haven't been registered with another PL club.

Difference with KWP is that when he is caught out defensively, it is far less likely that an ill-judged lunge in our penalty box will come
