BC has been calling for a lot of these players to get games, now it seems they are, he fucks off and gets himself banned.

Is he permanently gone? I missed all what happened with him thought he musta been blown off his high horse :cautious:If he is gone permanently its a shame as whether you agreed with him or not he was a prominent poster who knew his beans and its never good to lose those.

Unless he was being a racist or something, I am bummed. His analysis of games was fun to read and he certainly wasn’t the whiniest of the bunch

I hope Poch sticks to his word and gives the young guys a chance. I want to see KWP, Amos, Skipp, Onomah and CCV all getting a reasonable chance this season.

On Edwards, maybe he actually just wants to play for spurs and only spurs? He seems to absolutely turn it on whenever he plays a match for the club's youth teams and even his cameos at senior level, but then won't show up to training at Norwich. Maybe he just doesn't want to play anywhere else? Not a great attitude but I'd like to see him given a go, especially since son will be away for 2 months or something.

Onomah, KWP and tanganga might all be close to selection at various times throughout the season and I'd hope they get a fair crack too.

Yeah, his profile no longer exists, so he has either been permanently banned or deleted his account. A real shame IMO.

mostly agree and to be fair we have a very strong core first 16/17 or so. if we had that quality of player into the 20-25 range then the calls for youth wouldn't be as strong but it's just the likes of aurier, sissoko, llorente etc where the frustration begins to creep in. i don't know if i'd describe onomah as a creative cm but i do think he has a deceptively good passing range, he's not a short, snappy passer like winks but he has shown to have an incisive pass in his locker - like the passes in this video at 5:02 and 5:47. i hope he gets a chance this season but if the reports of us trying to palm him off to villa in the grealish deal are true then that's not particularly encouraging.

as you say with edwards he would be ideal, we have a lot of quality attacking players but they're all quality in a mostly orthodox way if that makes sense, whereas edwards just has that little something different in his game. i don't know what's happening with him and a small part of me thinks that given how heavily involved he's been for the u23s this summer that maybe not all hope is lost but then it could just mean nothing and he's currently sorting out a move. i like shashoua, i don't think he's quite edwards level as a talent but maybe he'll prove to be stronger in other areas. i saw a few pics of sam recently and he looks as though he's been hitting the weights pretty hard, it doesn't make much sense to me on any level that he's with the u23s whilst tracey and a bunch of u18s were with the first team but then again i don't see them in training.
I don't believe the Onomah plus 3m for Grealish bid at all, several ITKs have said we didn't offer any players and Steve Bruce said they hadn't received any offers after we supposedly offered this deal.

In regards to Onomah's creativity, would you be happy for him to replace Eriksen if the latter was out long term?

Personally, even without signing any players, I would still be happy for us to sell Aurier, Sissoko and Janssen and if twasn't for Wanyama and Winks injury problems, I would add Toby (dropping Dier back). With signing a creative CM (that can dribble) and a wide forward/striker, I would be happy also sell Dembele, GKN and Llorente. All assuming we change to 433.

I think it's make or break for Onomah. He has 6 months to prove he can cut the mustard.

Personally I don't think he is of the required standard...he didn't stand out at Villa in the Championship. Also he seems to be very injury prone.

Prove me wrong Josh!

I don’t buy it personally my money’s on kwp still being third choice, Llorente starting over sterling, sissoko starting over Onomah or Amos and gkn before Georgiou or Edwards or we’ll change formation to put the experienced players in

It’s all good being optimistic now thinking that the youth players will finally get the chance but unfortunately I don’t think they will
KWP will be 3 choice in both RB and LB and even if Rose leaves then that would mean that KWP would only play in a position that isn’t his natural and he won’t reach his full potential

Sissoko will still get a lot of game time. When Onomah plays it will be in the cup games or short cameos in the league.
And Llorente will play instead of Sterling

And if Poch did give youth players the chance I think it would be Amos, Marsh, Georgiou. The players that imo isn’t good enough and their ceilings aren’t high

I hope I’m wrong

The problem is, we are still overstocked in the positions where they can make a difference.

If we play 433, then Georgiou (or Edwards if he can get back in favor) has the best chance with GKN as the challenger of 4th choice wide player.

We still have 1 RB too many for KWP and Onomah, Amos, Skipp, TOB, Roles and Marsh all have Eriksen, Alli, Dier, Dembele, Winks, Wanyama and Sissoko ahead of them for 3 positions.

Also, CCV, Tangana, Eyoma and BLF have Verts, Sanchez, Toby and Foyth to displace plus Dier would probably do back before we played even Foyth.

I don't think anyone expects the youth to push regulars out of the side. It's when injuries start to affect the first 11 that the youngsters will need to show what they can do. We have several injury-prone players in central midfield so Amos and Onomah should get several chances (if they deserve them).

I don't think anyone expects the youths to walk into the squad and get alot of game time, I think this is being misunderstood. Giving youth a chance is more in cup games and if there are injuries and suspensions to first team/back up players. It's then up to the youth to perform to keep his place if replacing someone injured/suspended or stake their claim of in a cup.

So exactly the same as before then, why the need to leak the information then?

Because we were expecting more experienced depth (signings). I think Poch will ignore some of the other depth (GKN, Llorente) for youth as well.

Because we didn't sign anyone. We haven't sold anyone yet also so the situation is still the same as before.

I just hope that instead of playing people in wrong positions that we use youth a bit more and where they should be also.

I fear that the plan is for KWP to be 2nd choice LB with Rose going out on loan or sold. Makes no sense to me when we are struggling with the non HG quota and considering Rose is a better LB than Aurier is a RB and KWP is better at RB.

I think BC was the poster who had a massive rant at the mods via a PM which then got leaked onto the site. He was apparently rather rude and then tried to persuade others to join him in a defection to COYS.

Rob wrote a vague, mentioning no names, summary but all evidence has been expunged.

It's tough. The mods are one reason why this site works but the site works because they provide a platform for posters like BC to express themselves.

I wish a better balance had been struck as we've all lost out.
