BC having a moan. What a surprise. Did he call Rob 'about as useful as a turtle in a windsock' by any chance? A&C a 'busy little shit'? Well, at least Dier and Alli will play better this season when they no doubt come on here after matches and don't see themselves being ripped to pieces in the match ratings.

I'm still pretty sure the main reason Walker left was that he told Poch 'I'm just sick of that Bus Conductor guy giving me shit in every, single match rating thread, gaffer. It's time for a change, I need a fresh start.'

I notice Rob hasn't dipped into the transfer market to replace these experienced posters. Does this give us an opportunity to promote some new young SC members and allow them some more posting time? I wouldn't necessarily throw them all in at once but a chance in some minor threads would be good for their forum development.

He's permanently banned so can't come back. He's sounds like he is happy at TFC anyway, so I don't think he would come back even if he could.

Someone else on TFC got banned for posting youth ITK in this thread in last month or so, so you could be thinking of them, unless they both got banned for the same reason.

i don't know about the other poster but windy posted some youth-related itk in here(well, his own take on some itk) and then the thread was locked. maybe he did something else after that, i don't know, but he was banned the same day. it was one of the reasons why BC went on a rant (in a private message which was then leaked by one of those he sent it to).

Each to their own but I found BC one of the few shining lights of sense on here in an increasingly muddled mix, an established voice in a sea of new faces. That anyone would block someone for having a usually well argued opinion... well... I can only assume there was some kind of subtext. I don’t believe in blocking in general, I think you should be open to your opinion being challenged.

As others have said, he wasn’t a troll, he was a fairly pragmatic poster, certainly in Spurs Chat which is the main place I frequent, who gave balance to things and genuinely considered, interesting analysis. I think to counter your comment, I think I’ve agreed with him more than any other poster.

But if he’s broken the rules, or crossed a line, it is what it is I guess. It’s Rob’s forum, he decides how it’s run. The posters I identify with are becoming thin on the ground tho, either left, banned or rarely post anymore. A forum is only as good as its posters and BC was certainly one of the better ones. Almost like a WWF heel going to WCW him off to TFC

As someone who’s been on here nearly 15 years, it all feels a bit Brexity, getting on with things while not really recognising where you’re living anymore.

But anyway, back to the yoof... the players and the posters

Some exciting weeks ahead for some of the youth players, shame Onomah hasn’t had a good run in pre-season due to fitness but I’m still a fairly big believer in him.

When it comes to youth players, I think they up their level when surrounded by better players: Sterling will get better service, TOB better defensive cover, Skipp more forward passing options, so I can see them doing better than some expect in one off games and matches. Consistency is something else that may or may not come in time
