I remember as kid big arguments regarding hoddle as a luxury player for England. The only thing I remember as a kid is watching hoddle at WHL in complete awe as he’d single handily ripped teams apart. He was so far above everyone else on the pitch it was insane. Criminal he didn’t get more England caps and exactly the player England need now in CM. Unfortunately to even mention onomah is same breath as hoddle is slightly ridiculous.

"so far above" ... that's right, watching him, it seemwd he had a much higher, aerial view of the game than everyone wlsw.

Nice to see Ryan Loft get a couple of goals for Leicester U21s in the checkatrade trophy tonight. Pulled them back from 2 nil down.

Ccv got decent reviews last night. I think he’s definitely getting to level of being at least a decent 4th choice at CB.

Good news for an old boy

Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing former Tottenham winger Nathan Oduwa, who has first-team experience at Glasgow Rangers, after the 22-year-old impressed on trial. (West London Sport)

Lovely goal from Cooper. Clarke definitely looking more confident, looking forward to seeing them play next week

I felt Clarke's injury really knocked him for six. He had a real confident directness about him before that.

Hoddle would have been good if today’s era of 4-2-3-1 as one of the three attacking players (probably the central one for me with wingers either side).

Onomah is supposed to be more of a sitter in midfield.

These were the goals

21 - GOAL! Maghoma plays it low through the centre and @ShayonHarrison is onto it in a flash, sliding beyond the advancing keeper. #PL2

⚪️ #THFC 1-0 #MCFC ? https://t.co/fO2r93d648

29 - GOAL! And after that spell of City pressure it's 2-0 as Skipp's slide-rule pass finds Maghoma, who carries it beyond the keeper and slides home from the right angle. #PL2

⚪️ #THFC 2-0 #MCFC ? https://t.co/s4DiMDr8T5
