Who knows. I don’t see why if he feels he will get a chance.

Why would he get a chance here? What would make him think he would get a chance here? He's been called out as lacking application, being a problem child, not working as hard as others and placed behind players like N'Koudou despite staying loyal to the club, when he had loads of top clubs after him.

He's gone to Excelsior and no one has moaned of his attitude problems or application, the stats suggest he doesn't have any massive problems working off the ball. Maybe all of that stuff was just exaggerated to make a point or to excuse not giving him a chance.

The stuff at Norwich may be true but we don't know why it happened. He could have been acting out due to frustration at the lack of promises being honoured.

I'd be surprised to find if his attitude has completely changed in the course of a couple of months, as we haven't heard any problems so far. Maybe the Dutch are just better at dealing and handling the development of younger players. They may accept they won't be perfect and give them chances if they think they are good enough and work on them going forward. Whereas here, we just put up barrier after barrier, and hold the academy players to different standards to signings.

It's no surprise that we end up buying players from that league while completely destroying our own players. People believe the Dutch academy kids are better, yet the very few English kids outs there playing are already making their team of the weeks. It is so frustrating to watch.

Either way, realistically he could go on and get 20 assists this season and still wouldn't find himself in the first team, I've suggested he should leave before, and as the poster said above, I think the best option is using him in a trade off with a player from another club in the Eredivise.

It will be a shame if Edwards doesn’t make it with us given the early talent he showed.

Does make you wonder about our youth set up, I remember in last Manchester United under Sir Alex would send played over to the Dutch league and wonder why we took so long.

Its an improvement but it doesn't go anywhere near far enough.
I agree in that it won't stop Chelsea poaching kids from other clubs and stockpiling their academy, but at least it'll lead to a lot more of the youngsters getting moved on and finding themselves permanent clubs at a younger age so fewer of them get trapped in the eternal loan system.

Perhaps he needed to get clear from his peers/entourage, go to somewhere he couldn't be led astray. These kids are huge investments and there is no way we'd be pushing one aside with Edwards talent if there wasn't good cause.

A bit harsh.

When he didn't sign his contract immediately he was being slagged off, when he wasn't getting played he wasn't being criticised by fans of being at fault. How else does a paper from another country use such a strong word for a player that has only played about 10mins of professional football? They will get what whatever is being said about him by fans most likely.

Sadly that's the narrative that's been painted of him over the years. Unless it's based off him turning up late to training a few times, but I that is bit strong for that.

Should be streams for Edwards it’s on TV. Tvcave have it channel 49.

Already looking sharp. It's feels so good to have a loan player out where we can actually watch them.

Especially one of my favourite players

I was joking bro, in the context of Sports it (huurling) means a player out on loan.

Such a harsh decision. He got pushed over and he is small, I don't think it was a foul but I don't think it was a dive. He went down easily cos he is tiny.

This team have screwed up 3 2-0 leads in a row smh

Edwards sent off, second yellow. First was for dragging a player back/holding them when defending, second yellow was for diving in the box 82 or 83 minutes in. Both yellows in the second half.

Didn't know that. I genuinely thought it meant mercenary when I first read it, and thought it was harsh but could have been translation problems. When you said it, I thought it confirmed my initial opinion, and now I find your joking lol I look the fool:cautious:

Can't believe Excelsior let another lead slip. And all a learning curve for Edwards this, let's see how he bounces back after making a fairly decent start over there. Will be a shame if he has to miss the league game though.
