what do you mean weird?

recently turned 18 yr old cms on pl top six benches is a very specific set of parameters so there's not going to be many others who fit that same criteria but if we slightly widen the goalposts to 18 yr old cms at all pl clubs in all comps then smith-rowe has 5 apps(312 mins) for arsenal, foden 8 apps(226 mins) and gibbs-white 7 apps(221 mins). if we extend it further to include other positions then you can also add sessegnon 13 apps(1007 mins) and even hudson-odoi has 2 apps(35 mins) to skipp's 1 app(6 mins).

plus, as we know, skipp has only been on the bench due to a plethora of injuries.

I meant weird that he isn’t involved in any age group. All the players you mention are playing for England. My point is any young player say 18 that gets near a top 10 PL team is usually involved for England age groups.

On another note does anyone know much about Nathan wood at boro. Reading a lot of good stuff about him just 16 LB or CB sounds perfect for our future needs. Already played in carabo for boro. Their youngest ever player.

Patterson was playing more of a holding role today and done a good job,we was very strong down our left with Clarke,Markanday and Shashoua constantly switching.

Thorpe is a player we have not seen a lot of but he had some good touches today and he has changed a bit, looks to have got a lot taller but he played in the middle and not out wide.

Have been impressed with Okedina when he has stepped and he played very well today.

At this rate we might have to get the u23s to start watching the u18s.

Could be lots of reasons. Language barrier. Regaining fitness. Tactical retraining. Or even ability issues. I was always a vocal fan of Reo but even I acknowledged that was extremely raw and was nowhere near ready for first team football.

I think Markanday yesterday showed why I think he is currently the best player in thea ge group. Put in a great shift at LB then moved to number 10, he was the main reason for the 2nd goal. Took the ball just outside teh box, drove at it, with such precise touches to allow him to cut across the main behind him, but not too far ahead to lose it to the defender. Laid off perfectly for Clarke who squared it for Parrott. Everything Markanday does has purpose and with such ease. Moved to no10 for about 10mins. Created one, scored an excellent goal where he fooled everyone by dummying the defender and finished with aplomb. Then he went off, Job done.

Also hit the bar with his right foot earlier in the match, and glides into the box easily. Very very good player.

Clarke also had a really good game, as you say, and Thorpe I was pleased to see. Looks like a player but clearly just finding his way. First start in 2 years I think.

Okedina and Statham looked solid at the back today. Pleased to see Okedina. Richards looked better when he basically went into CM. He had 2 guys on him at one point and pull off a skill where he ended up nutsing one and beat them at the same time. Plays with a lot of time. Wasn't a fluid performance as there were players out of position but it was a decent Swansea side so good victory.

If it had gone in it could have been goal of the season,he is improving every week and that run and Finish for his goal was Brilliant.

Sam Sashoua must be injured ATM, as he didn't even make the bench for Atletico Baleares in their last game. Annoyingly his replacement scored too.
