We're 3-1 down but as it stands going through anyway, as Crawley are reduced to 10 men and 2-1 down to Gillingham.

Reporter on Sky news when commenting on this game said Spurs fans should keep an eye on Patterson for the future as he was superb tonight.

He's been playing better recently but not quite as good as he was last year. Would be great if he pulled off a good performance against Portsmouth

Great news. To think that this kid possbily could have missed out on this age group but we had to pay for a 16th place to include him.

Very much deserved. My biggest worry about Markanday is he seems very quiet and I worry that his personality might mean he gets overlooked and won't get the attention he deserves from coaches wrt his development. Slight positive is that I don't think then that he will ever be taken on to train with the first team and lost forever. Please just send him abroad to play. He's a proper player

Ok so I went to watch the game tonight , but again my opinion . Whiteman didn’t have a great deal to do , think he should really have done better .BLF very good player and reader of the game . Brown and marsh nothing really how marsh is so rated is beyond me . Tanganga very good in the air . Bowden good assist seen him play better games , gone a bit downhill since been with 23 to be honest , as most of them do . White did well considering his age , still played a few miss passes , very safe player in the sense kept playing the few yard balls not chancing anything . His free kick was top draw . Patterson did better in first half , but seems to get lost as the game goes on . Oakley-Boothe for me doesn’t cut it , did couple of nice things but not enough. Duncan the same really , nothing special about him at all. Sterling , sorry I know this is going to upset some , but just awfull considering to what he use to be like. I know he’s been injured a lot but feel that he needs to have the right players around him to do well. Possibly putting him in the first team and the other players putting it on a plate for him may work . We basically owned the first half with our very young squad but I think that was more the fact Portsmouth had a very weakend team out , also they didn’t look like they wanted to be there . So credit goes to our youngsters for that . But at half time portsmouth must have been torn apart by Kenny jacket as they had more fight , also the big boys came on , and every player for us who looked good in first half was virtually non exsistent in second half . But it’s great that we qualified JUST MY OPINION THOUGH .
Don’t know how true but someone told me we could face Swansea , Cheltenham, Luton or Oxford next round

That's the first I've heard of this. Could you elaborate.

Not exactly sure how draw works but I think you can only face 4 or 5 teams must be done regionally.

Went to the game also and oakley booth did not look interested and didnt think he had much about his game. Sterling kept running and trying to turn the defenders inside out but 2 solid big lads for pompey at the back was too much for him on his own, but had a good turn of pace. Patterson was our most lively player first half bit got lucky for the goal, great throuh ball from bowden i think it was for the goal.

Great free kick from white after a nervy start to the game giving balls away in the middle he grew into the game and got steadier as it went on. Portsmouth experience came through in the 2nd half as they brought on 3 subs at once which changed the game for them. Whiteman looked flappy throughout and had a couple of lloris dodgy clearances bit still at this age group they try and play out from the back which ended up in us getting put under unnecessary pressure.

Hopefully the lads take something from the game but on that showing i cant see any making the step up for a good few years. Hopefully a few where off on internation duty so cant fukly judge.

Psycho stuart pearce in attendance keeping an eye on some of our lads you would think

My understanding is you are only allowed 15 max normally for an age group and a fee has to be paid to allow for 16. I think we've been over this but someone with more knowledge can clarify that rule. I believe Markanday was the last to be offered his scholarship, which would mean we made an exception to keep him on and rightly so. I hear he is highly rated at the club but the risk was we could have ended up losing him to keep on lesser talented players
