I can't stand the place tbh. I imagine other fans feel the same. Bad memories from this season will be hard to budge if we ever get to any more big games at Wembley.

Today's result is made worse by fact our next game at Wembley is Dortmund. We could so have done with a win and confidence going into that. Don't beat Dortmund and we're still massively lacking confidence going into Swansea game. We should surely be beating Swansea but I thought the same today and not like its gonna happen but in my head I can't even see a win at Wembley right now.

I didn't want to admit that there's a problem playing at Wembley but there obviously is. Could cost us too 4 this season. Maybe we should have gone to MK.

I haven't read this thread , im on the train home , Wembley, it's a massive factor. I posted on here that MK was my choice, would have been 30,000 packed intense atmosphere that we could have made very intimidating , would have been hard to get tickets so people who have to go find a way, i.e. Spend a lot, or go every week. Doesn't mean they're bigger fans but it's being match fit. Hardly anyone agreed.
Wembley isn't neutral, it's worse, we are at home so attack constantly and other teams raise their game, to me the whole place , pitch, stands , outside , everything seems too big, the noise literally flies out of the stadium before it reaches the other end. I don't like it , still think we can come 4th though and that really would be a big achievement .

We just need to get up to speed. We were better in both games but looked fucked late on.

We'll get there. We're never up to full fitness in August. No idea why but we just aren't

It's 5metres longer FFS, there is no way that is an issue. Not too mention every away pitch is the same.

on TV it doesnt sound anywhere near as loud as WHL. lotsa empty seats today, too.

It's just too big for us, is the truth. I was there today in the cheap seats, no atmosphere and loads of tourists.

On the plus side, the new stadium should be just about the right size so that we will fill it for most games, and the pitch will be closer to the stands. The atmosphere should be much better.

The atmosphere at Wembley is awful - part of that is because it's an absolutely terrible football stadium almost deliberately designed to suck noise and atmosphere out as much as possible, with truly bad acoustics
I've just tweeted as much to Wembley disconnected by EE, the acoustics are so shit I'm seriously considering ear plugs for the rest of the season so that I don't have to put up with the unrecognisable shit they broadcast at half time, I understood three words Sam Warburton said last week and not a single fucking word Micky Hazard said today. Don't start me on the signal, I would have tweeted them at the time to tell them how shit their acoustics are but had to wait until I got home and could get a signal.

In short the the place is a clusterfuck of bad decisions made worse by our own bad decisions, there is no hoodoo, just dreadful compromises all round.

It would have been much better if we had moved to a stadium where our opponents hate to go. We always hear how intimidating WHL was and that opponents felt it too.

Wembley is a place every team wants to go to. Hell i bet they are looking forward to playing there. Probably get more boost out of it than our own boys.

Yeah I've no worries about the new stadium, we've waited so long for that, that I think people will love it. For some reason I can't see the new place being anything other than a success. Plus people will be so happy to get back there after being at Wembley.

Lets see how we do when we have Sanchez ,Aurier {hopefully} at the back....and fingers crossed another option going forward.

We need to replace the pace we have lost since Walker and Rose are out/gone.

lets not panic ffs......it isn't great atm but things WILL improve and we will start clicking

Remember we lost points in the 88th and 92 minute....small margins..

The stadium feels shit because we are playing poorly and not winning. I agree though that it is too big for us. To pack 90k in every week you have to be the football equivalent of the Harlem globetrotters.

There are no clubs in Europe who consistently fill a stadium of this size or could if they have one. If we charged the same price as leading German clubs we'd add between five and ten thousand to the gate, but Levy has another way of looking at the world.

But some of the whinging is pathetic, who gives a toss if you can't get a signal or someone sitting next to you is from Enfield or Seoul?bif your Spurs get behind the team and look forward to the new stadium and the transformation it will bring.

You hit the nail on the head. I have said all along that the Walker / Rose combination not only scared the opposition but as attacking threats they helped create the time and space for our front four to play. Sunday I watched the static Davies offering nothing to worry the opposition (yes in the second half he improved) and Trippier - who everyone but me it seems bought into 'he is such a great crosser of the ball' stuff - who is nothing like the athlete that Walker is. Those two running up and down the pitch for 95minutes was a joy to watch.

Get Rose back, a pacy RB and a quick forward ... plus a dribbling midfield player ... and we will be back. Right now our starting eleven is weaker than it was 12 months ago

I really don't think it is. Kane is better, Alli is better and Eriksen is better. We just aren't quite clicking yet, it'll come, we'll be up there but it's spurs and therefore incredibly frustrating at times. We'll be looking back at these 3 dropped points at the end of the season.... again.

Not disageeing that within the team some players are better than a year ago but atm we are taking to the field with two players, I believe, are inferior. People go on about us just relying on Kane and Dele but the truth is at our best we are a team full of dangerous players and the attacking full backs were amongst the most important in the team
