Yes, it is a shame both he and vertonghen left without any medal between them.
Brilliant defenders, the one thing that let them down was scoring at set pieces. They rarely offered any threat at all, probably as they were not built like traditional CBs.

Were they to blame for their lack of goals from set-pieces or was it the deliveries (which SC moaned about throughout Poch's reign)?
They both scored 4 PL goals in their first season with us btw. That's a very respectable return for a CB.
