If this is the noise Azarenka makes hitting a tennis ball, God only knows what noises she made during her labour. I'd imagine the midwife is still haunted by that day.

Valiant by Watson, but she always looked like she was reliant on Azarenka fluffing her lines.

Konta by contrast looks a powerful hitter and much more comfortable at the top, obviously highlighted by her ranking, but her rise has been no fluke. I really hope she can go far in this tournament. Already it's a good start that she has reached the second week.

This Fognini chap is all over the place, makes for compelling viewing.

Brief ankle injury was a get out of jail card for Murray, but yeah, one minute this guy is hitting impossible angled winners with no effort, the next he looks like he can't be arsed and is missing easy shots

He's the tennis version of Berbatov. Never seen such an ultra casual player before.

Well I had a bit of money on Murray going out in the first week, fuck sake so close  :D

He looked pretty terrible though it has to be said. Heavy legged and nothing in his shots really. Looks like he will need that whole weekend to regroup and go again.

And talking of being in terrible shape, centre court already looks in pretty shocking condition which might make matches more interesting.

Think that had quite a lot to do with Fognini's style as he didn't give Murray any pace to play with (which for a counter puncher like Murray is horrible to play against).

Few days to rest up now and hopefully make a big push for the latter stages

He most definitely looked stodgy. Not looking like he's playing with anywhere near the confidence of '15 and '16. Don't see it for him this year unless he suddenly raises it up several notches

I think Raonic is the most overrated tennis player currently. Never been impressed by him.

Zverev though looks a real talent.

Nadal is having a real battle out there on court one against Giles Muller (BBC2) currently 8-9 down in the 5th set and had to save a few match points :wideyed:

Holy shit, Nadal was into a fifth when i left my house to go to the gym, come back out 1h 15 mins later and he's still on. Either way, this is excellent for Murray if it comes down to a semi with one of these guys

Never seen people have to cover the court walls before because of reflections!
