5 huge servers in the mens quarters, could mean some very lengthy games. Suits Murray to be drawn against Querry, can just return whatever he throws at him and shouldn't be made to do too much running with his dodgy hip. Hoping Ostapenko upsets Venus in the womens draw, such an exciting player to watch.

Oh I realise I'm being optimistic - I don't think they will both win, but that is what I would like. :)

Me too. I wouldn't put any money on a men's winner yet, though Federer looks the best so far, now that Rafa's gone.

Cilic is keeping his head down and winning quite easily on the outside courts; hasn't dropped a set yet against some seasoned grass court players. If Murray gets past Querrey I think that will be a very tough semi for him. (Cur Muller dispatching Cilic in 3!)

As for the ladies, I haven't a clue!

Ladies is very open now that Serena is off. There's no clear stand out in the draw but some great matchups today

Venus v Ostapenko should be epic. Ost is in incredible form at the moment and riding a wave of confidence but Venus has so much experience and has a game suited to grass. Would love to see Ost win but think Venus will have too much experience and punish her unforced errors

As for Konta v Halep they've both got to deal with incredible pressure (and both have been known to wilt under pressure before) Halep will be #1 if she wins whereas Konta is 1st British lady to get this far in 34yrs. Good matchup for Konta, she'll go in as the bigger hitter but Halep is so creative and fights for everything

Think I'm right in saying Konta's only faced one break point. Judging by how she played in the second set I'd have her down to win this. She seems stronger, fitter in the longer rallies, and more focused than Halep right now.

Brilliant from Konta.

She's not had it easy and yet she's into the semis. If she wins this it will not be because of weak opposition.

I think if she can beat Venus then she's got the beating of anyone else.

But that's a very big if.

Think she's got a huge chance against Venus, her serve won't intimidate Konta as much as it did Ostapenko and she'll be able to out hit her from the baseline too.

Gutted Ost didn't make it through as she's such an exciting player to watch but think Konta's game measures up better against Venus than it would have against Ost.

Can't wait for Thurs

Congratulations to Konta. She is a delightful human being, very gregarious, generous and a bubbly personality, no pretensions with her whatsoever. Have to say I thought Halep would pull through so I got that wrong and I'm fine with it.

Not a fan of Raobot either

I'm not buying that the injury isnt affecting Murray. He is serving below 100mph 1st serves now. Federer and Djokovic will eat him alive like this, that's if he gets through.

I'm not sure he is now... think his injury will scupper him in the 5th.
He would be advised to at least take a medical time out at the end of the 4th.
