I'm not buying that the injury isnt affecting Murray. He is serving below 100mph 1st serves now. Federer and Djokovic will eat him alive like this, that's if he gets through.

Can't see him winning. He can't move, and that's so much of his game.

There is clearly something wrong, I don't understand why he doesn't get the Dr out?

Unless he knows he is done

No, he is cooked, can only assume he is staying out there for the spectators. Shame, he could have wrapped it up in three, but clearly something was already wrong.

Should have wrapped it up in three, break up in the 2nd at 4-3 and break up in the 3rd at 5-4 albeit he went onto win on the TB

Some great rallies even this late on but it's game over now at 5-1 surely.

A shame, but Querrey did what was required.

We're certainly going to get a surprise finalist. Or should that be runner-up?

Shame-the injury obviously caught him up

Come on Konta

When her nationality became the subject of debate at the 2016 Australian Open, Konta said it was "a compliment for you guys to be interested in my Australian roots", but that she was "very pleased to be representing Great Britain ... where I grew up essentially"

Where she grew up?!?
She was born in Australia and lived there for 14 years, during her formative years... Which is longer than she's been in the UK.

She's as British as my brother is American (he's been out there 15 years).

At least Rusedski had a British mother!

The most important years I would say are always your mid to late teens. You can be a kid anywhere.
Besides you cannot be serious. She has a British passport, therefore she is British, end of discussion. I do not understand these constant comments on here and BBC chat about her not being some form of frigging pure blood. FFS, what century are we in?!

One where people voted in quite large numbers for UKIP in the not too distant past :).

Hardly surprising that some then get uppity about a tennis player's nationality.

Personally, if someone is prepared to commit to your country, rather than simply doing so by an accident of birth, that shows more commitment in many ways.

You should represent the nation of your birth, or your heritage.
She's doing neither...

Who was that lad who decided to try and represent Latvia or Lithuania at the Olympics in Taikwondo because he wasn't selected by Team GB?

It's one of the reasons I can't get behind the England rugby or cricket teams these days.
Half the players aren't even English.

Very different in cricket and rugby, and team sports generally, where you want to avoid people transferring nationality too easily as it can mean the more wealthy nations can effectively buy success for their team.

In an individual sport though who fucking cares? She's a citizen anyway so there's literally no argument to be had here.
