Really hoping Nadal can turn it around. It really does feel like 50/50 when it comes to these two a lot of the time so I certainly wouldn't make a bet either!

Regardless of how well Anderson may have played to get there, whoever loses today will feel an extra sense of losing out knowing they would have been a victory over Anderson away from a Wimbledon title.

Got to have Djokovic as the favourite today. A 5 hour match over 2 days is not a 5 hour match, and Anderson will be mentally tired as well as physically.

Having said that the crowd, I think, will be firmly behind Anderson, and that sometimes gets to Djokovic. If Anderson gets a good start, and the first set ...

So with the US Open not being on tv I the UK it makes it really hard to follow. Trying to watch the points flick over on the app are painful and the Guardian min by min is really slow.

Murray lost the first set against Verdasco so sets up nicely. Expect Andy to turn it around and win 3-1 but with his fitness levels not yet at full power and this crippling heat/humidity anything’s possible

I actually have Amazon Prime (bought it accidentally) which is showing the US Open and it's not too bad to watch it on actually. Murray just isn't up to pace yet, which is fine really but I do just really hope he gradually gets close to his best.

I was going to put a few quid on Verdasco, but the odds weren't good enough for the tiny amounts I gamble! It's a long way back for Murray and I'm not sure he's ever going to get there. Hope I'm way off.

I've bought Amazon prime & a fire stick since they've now got the ATP in full. It's okay.

Difficult to call the Open for me. Hard to look past the big 3 again, and I think Djokovic is still my slight favourite. If not them, Anderson, maybe, or Delpo.

I'd like to see Sascha in the mix, but not sure Lendl can work his magic quite that fast!

As ever Kyrgios has the ability but can he go 7 matches without injury or a brain fart? Cilic? Stan?

That should cover it!

Could have just saved yourself the time and posted the Top 20 of the rankings

How frustrating has Edmund been this year by the way? Really thought he'd stepped up a level after some great results at the start of the season, but he can't string two good performances together - weirdly he seems just as likely to win/lose against the top guys as he does someone ranked 100 in the world. Unfortunately it appears his ranking is rather inflated by his SF in Australia and he's going to need some consistency if he's really going to challenge going forward.

Murray seems to be coming back slowly... not exerting himself too much, but still getting the odd win. I like it. Next season could be huge from Murray.

I've got my money on Nole for the US Open

Anyone trying to watch the US Open on Amazon Prime? I'm not impressed so far.

I can't always get the damn thing to work instead of buffering and failing. Switching between matches is cumbersome. And the promise that I can get every match 'on demand' seems bollocks unless I'm missing something entirely, so unless I stay up until 5 am every night, I'm not going to see the top night matches.

Bring back Sky.

I've found it alright so far. Definitely a bit annoying to back out of a match, wait a few seconds for the menu, scroll to the court you want, wait a few seconds for it display etc. Would certainly help if they displayed the players who were playing on each court to prevent wasting your time on selecting a match that you really don't want to see.
I was really worried with potential buffering and even quality but I have to admit I've been pleasantly surprised, feels as if I'm watching it on Sky. I feel for you though as buffering and failings would completely ruin the experience for me.

Lost it for 15 minutes last night; it just stopped and buffered, despite, when I checked, a WIFI download speed of over 90 mbs. Their online chat told me basically to clear the cache, then turn it off and on again! I'll try that today. I've seen that other people have had trouble with the TV fire stick so hopefully their working on it for the future; if they are the future.

Rafa looking as stubbornly good as usual.

Rog v Kyrgios should be interesting tonight. Second match on Ashe.

Do you have a smart TV? Maybe download the app and see if that works any different. Not to insult your intelligence though as you've probably already thought of doing so. Not sure if it's improved but I hated using the free stick when I had it, was really slow and clunky.

Rafa struggled a little bit at times in his match! But did well to get through against a sometimes dangerous opponent.
Oh nice I look forward to that :D Actually won some easy money from the early round bets, can't believe I never thought of betting on the tennis before. It's not breathtaking money by any means but it's still fairly easy money nonetheless and when you're betting on the likes of Del Potro, Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Thiem, Zverev, Cilic etc to all win their opening few rounds.

Nah, the TV's dummer than I am. I've cleared the data so we'll see how it goes, but it's a bit of a backward step in sports coverage for me.

The trouble with the early rounds is that as soon as I piled money onto Rafa or Novak, they'd be bound to pull a muscle and retire!

Really poor from Williams - no class or respect in defeat. She really can act like a petulant and spoiled brat towards officials. A shame that it takes the shine off what should be an amazing moment for Osaka.
