After the dink down the middle the other day it’s one to his right and one to his left yesterday.

I’m more impressed he scores goals with the shocking passing that’s going on.

I am not saying I don't have high hope for him but I won't get carried away with a hat-trick (of which 2 were penalties) vs Faroe Islands.
Remember, Faroe Islands have a polulation of 35,000 and in a climate that is not exatly ideal for fotball. I would guess they do have indoor fotball fields but still...

To be fair we’re over 100 posts in here and most things get reported. As small a feat it may be to hit 3 against the Faroes it’s better than scoring none or missing those penalties. I wouldn’t put him anywhere near a matchday squad for Spurs yet and feel that he’ll rise quicker through the Irish ranks if anything only because of the severe lack of talent we have at the top. Just nice to follow a career from early on, especially if it goes more in the direction of Harry Kane than Terry Dixon. Although it could go anywhere.

I'm certainly not going to get ahead of myself but I am pinning the hopes of a nation on Troy and if he doesn't fire the senior Boys in Green to the euros single handedly then he is dead to me.

Indeed. If he doesn't win best player of the year before 2020 we should ship him off to China!

Yep, torture is the only option.

Oh. Unless you meant the Chinese League. Sure, yeah, that could be an option I guess...

Stories breaking that he’s travelling with the first team today. Unclear if he’ll be in the squad or not but great experience for the lad either way and must show he’s rated.

I can't see him making the bench, will be there for experience and his hard work in training.
Would be great if he could push fora squad place next season, but I have no idea if he is even close to being ready to make that step up.

Probably play for Ireland before us . They haven’t got a forward apart from the prolific Shane Long!,,
He looks physically big enough to play up front even though not 17 till Feb and he likes a fight..

It sounds like he is maturing early in a similar way to how Rooney did?

If we end up in the Europa League, the likes of Parrott, Skipp and Roles (and other young talented players) should get those minutes and experience for those games. With our lack of depth and back to back injuries to key players, we really can't risk adding more travel fatigue and short turnarounds that the EL comes with.

Poch will try and win it.
