I will be stunned if theres no spill over onto the strip or in some casinos later, tbh. That was a huge black eye to the sport.

I doubt it... Conor lost the fight fair and square. No reason for it to kick off on the strip unless Khabib and his team go partying, which ain't gonna happen now.
If it does kick off it just goes to show the idiocy of drunk Irish fans.

Did you PPV? How much does that cost over here?
PPV was 65. Had $59 in my Amazon account so it cost me $6 to my card.

My phone died so I had some time to collect my thoughts. I think I hate Cormier more than Khabib. That dude is unbearable. Why insert yourself and “try” to stop khabib but do absolutely nothing? Why do you have to be involved in everything? Insufferable.

I have seen this tweeted in the khabib trend on twitter no less than 30 times. So i think Putin’s troll army has moved on to ufc.

McGregor tried to attack Aldo.

McGregor threw bottles at Diaz.

McGregor attacked a bus and nearly blinded a person.

McGregor insulted Khabib’s dad and his religion.

Bunch of hypocrites. No one calls him out for this.

Your boy got smashed. Just take the L. 27-0

All valid points though

When Conor misbehaves it's all a bit of fun...

This fight was always personal. It was always going to end badly.

As for those saying it was a boring fight etc. I'm guessing all Conor fans too. It was a tactical fight from Khabib. He is at his best on the floor. Why would he choose a stand up fight??? You want a stand up fight, go watch boxing...

It was a boring fight, though. I like ufc and stand up fighting and going after people. Wrestling tactical fighters are definitely interesting but there boring.

Also, boxing is dying due to very obvious corruption and multiple promos ruining everything

Not nec true. I was a wrestler at an earlier point in life and appreciate the technical aspects. As yankspurs pointed out earlier they could have been stood up a few times such was the inactivity.

It also just could have been the fact that the other fights were more exciting and folks had high hopes for this one.

Final thoughts before i crash: Conor was scum and an asshole with the terrorist remark. He was absolutely disgraceful throwing shit snd breaking glass looking for khabib/artem in Brooklyn while looking out for his boy. But khabib let it all get to him and what happened tonight, IMO, was worse because fans could have easily gotten hit or involved. It also seemed far too calculated to me.

If it was spur of the moment and wasnt supposed to happen, id think khabib’s team would go into the octagon immediately and stop him and celebrate like every other winning fighters team. They didnt. Khabib jumped out, attacked Conors assistant and a member of Khabib’s entourage jumped into the octagon and attacked Conor.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

What I don’t understand is the cries for ‘stand up and fight’, presumably from McGregor fans.

Here’s an idea, maybe watch kickboxing or boxing then if that’s what you’re looking for?

I do think a section of his fans aren’t actually fans of combat sports at all though, just fans of him. The fact he can’t box for toffee means he’d lose them fans super quick if he made that transition full time I guess.

On the fight, he really doesn’t like it when the going gets tough does he? He absolutely quit last night. Poor form.

Boxing has been “dying” for 30 years. It’s actually on the way back again.
The obsession, from certain mma fans, with boxing is tired and worn out. There’s enough for all promotions and combat sports to co-exist.

I always think genuine fans of mma actually like boxing too. The tools who think you need to pick one or the other are the ‘you even lift bro’ types.

Don't know why people are complaining about Khabib's actions. You paid for 5 fights and got 6 instead. That's a win.

Six months ago conner and 20 goons attacked kabib on a bus and injured other fighters, and IMO overstepped the mark with his Dagastani are rats comments and other shit talk, Danis talking trash outside the ring and he then got smashed, got no problems with that at all. The only thing i have a problem with here really is the guys going after connor in the ring, especially the guy that hit him from behind, that should be them done from ever getting a visa again at the very least.

All this talk of him getting stripped, banned for ages is just bollocks when you flip it around, Conner was able to fight after numerous instances where it should have been banned/stripped, not just the bus one where he injured other fighters who were unable to fight, in the instance of someone like Ray Borg who is at the lower end of the pay scale and whose son is sick and he is struggling to pay medical bills it makes his actions even worse.

In reality here, couple of people got a slap and the scuffle looked worse then it was, many on here would know you would get worse saturday nights at Eros in enfield.

Dana will never discipline conor, he is scared to upset the face of the sport.

McGregor got what he deserved.

You can say whatever you want about the way it was delivered but if you deliberately attack people physically and verbally outside of the Octagon, don't then be surprised when they want to beat the crap out of you.

Beaten up in the match. Beaten up after it. Where's your big mouth now Conor?
