Immediate rematch seems a strange one considering he’s way down the list in terms of quality.

Now he’s not twice the size of his opponent, McGregor has lost his advantage. From what I’ve seen, half a dozen would beat him in that division.

Go back to boxing, entice Canelo for the payday? That way we’ll never see that racist prick McGregor in any sport again.

DC is fighting derrick Lewis in the main event in 3 weeks. Lewis just got battered for 14 mins before his comeback win 3 days ago.

Nate Diaz v porier has been cancelled cause porier got injured and nate won't fight anyone else

While this is even less likely than a rematch, it would be hilarious in theory, but Mcgregor fighting boxers is just exhibition stuff for cash - him and Mayweather didn't even take it seriously and just paffed away at each other for a while to satisfy the (not sold out) punters.

Fury has shown that he's happy to take part in this sort of setup and is happy to take home a big cheque, but if they were actually going to box then Fury would absolutely end him, imo. Mayweather could've but why bother wasting all that energy when you're getting paid regardless?

Of course you're right but I wasn't being serious. One slap from Fury and Conor's team would have to put out a search party to find his head.

DC will throw Lewis around, Lewis will be shot after the first round. He just doesn't have the physical capacity to withstand the grind of Cormier.
Fuck that's annoying about the Diaz fight, was looking forward to that. Conor is suspended for a month too so can't fight Diaz on that card either.

i don't understand why Lewis is being given a title shot, even he said he isn't ready for a title shot. Dana playing favorites again, what other reason is there for Stipe to not get his rematch.

I'd rather see DC defend his LHW title first against Gustafsson if he's available

Lewis shouldnt get a title shot yet. Even he said in his post fight he needs to work on things before being given a shot. But the reason its Lewis is likely just Cormier being a pussy. Cormier/Miocic next month would mint money again for Dana. No chance Dana doesnt do that fight if both parties want it and Stipe wants it.

I reckon we’ll see Diaz/McGregor 3 at 233, Khabib/Ferguson at 234 and later next year McGregor/Khabib 2.

As an aside, im still praying mighty mouse moves up a division

Come on man, Cormier is anything but. It's not like Lewis isn't a dangerous KO artist so it hardly takes a pussy to fight him. Cormier fought Big Foot at HW, he fought Jones twice, Johnson twice and won the HW belt from Stipe. It just sounds that with only a month to go they had to pull a fight out from somewhere and these are 2 fighters that are available.

No, I think it has more to do with Dana not liking Stipe. He wants a different champion. I think the only way Conor v Khabib 2 happens is either if Khabib loses to Ferguson or Khabib gets paid a ton of money. If he fights Diaz beforehand there is a good chance he will lose, then there is no Khabib fight.

Conor & Khabib both suspended with effect from 15th October.
A hearing will take place on 24th October to determine length of suspension.

Didn't someone post a week or so ago, that DC had already announced his retirement as of next March, or did I dream that?

.
I didn't hear the news but it appears that it is happening sooner anyway. It makes sense because they're not going to do the Jones fight again and DC has proven himself at HW.

Khabib is saying he's had an offer from WWE.

Also called out Mayweather - looking for some of that fat cash now, I guess, but if they both took it seriously it would certainly be a more interesting fight than when McGregor pulled on the red gloves. "Of course I am the king because he could not drop McGregor and I dropped him easily,". Still would have Mayweather to beat him if they box, no doubt, but you could probably put any of half a dozen MMA fighters into an octagon with Mayweather and they'd beat him rapidly. He has no background in grappling and he's not exactly one to put out an oppo's lights early, why would he put himself in harms way like that?
