It pains me to read Jasper's post and I wouldn't even know him on the street if I saw him. I can't help but wonder if Toby hadn't have been so overzealous in one tackle yesterday how less hurtful fans would've been to each other this weekend.

While claiming that those at the top of Spurs aren't learning lessons and are going in circles we need to be aware of our own destructive cyclical nature at SC as we continue to slag off ITKs and take every word for gospel even when ask us not to or refuse to treat each other with respect when none of us were out on that pitch yesterday or in charge of ANY aspect of Spurs.

It's incredible ANY ITKs come back each window and I hope we can make SC more of the forum Trix wanted to initially come to and less like the place he no longer wanted to be a part of.

If we didn't win a single game this year it's still nothing compared to losing a sibling or having a spouse diagnosed with cancer and I think Jasper's post is a good reminder of how people deserve to be treated regardless of results.

So you'd be happy to buy a player that would be considered deadwood next season for a striker? Why not just keep bobby or use ade? Coulthirst could have even been used.
Mason is an england international and bentaleb and dier are two hot prospects.

We lost and drew. Mostly through sloppy mistakes. We were not out played in eaither game and are above chelsea in the league. Every year fans think that buying a special player will be the difference. The difference for me will be when we get our players playing to their full abilities.

Believe it or not i'm not in favour of signing players for the sake of it and have always preferred the quality over the quantity approach but i'd argue with anyone who defends our approach to transfers - it has been haphazard at best and whilst summer 2013 will be forever in our minds as a fcuk up our signings since then also leave a lot to be desired. How many players have we signed that have gone straight into the first team - Toby is the only one. The rest are just squad players, we need to strengthen the first team first and foremost and we are not a team of galaticos to say it's difficult to improve on what we've got. Buy less but buy better.

Just musing tbh - there is a precedent as we all know, and I'm not in any way suggesting that's the new plan a but just putting it out there that we should lose the tunnel vision as there are strikers who no doubt might suit the game plan.

Yep. Jasper's post was a very tough read. Shameful how people attack you ITK's on other sites without retribution. At least on here, it's dealt with in a quick, orderly manner with a deletion of post and a ban. Hope some work is being done behind the scenes to bring Jasper over to this *mostly* civilized forum where ITK's are actually respected and loved.

I think a lot of people on SO do happily accept ITK in good faith. Jasper's never struck me as an attention seeker, and just tries to share what he hears. For whatever reason he seemed to attract a small number of critics - something that never happened with their other ITKs Roger Morgan and Archibald (who both seem to have stopped posting).

I definitely feel sympathy for Jasper. On the other hand I guess it's important to respect the way Paul Smith runs SO as well. He's never really been caught up in the 'cult of ITK' that you get on here and COYS and that's reflected in their Transfer Window thread. Then again, SO isn't a free for all for hostility like somewhere like TFC, so at the very least Jasper shouldn't have to deal with the constant ridicule he gets from a handful of people.
