The meltdown this year is going to be spectacular, one way or the other. Either we finish the windows like the ITK keeps suggesting by signing a couple of awesome players, or we fall short yet again and get to watch dozens of posters have simultaneous mental implosions. Either way I'm ready. :coffee:

I think it's quite obvious the squad is still a work in progress. We've got some injuries, some players that appear to be one foot out the door and a few youngsters that are really being given an opportunity to stake their claim on match minutes in games that matter via preseason appearances.

It sucks that we haven't finished up our "significant additions" before the start of the season but we never do. And yes, we all wish that would change because it's incredibly annoying but the transfer window doesn't work in a land full of rainbows and butterflies; especially for us.

JJ, Hertyid and other significant ITK have made statements alluding to positive things happening and until they say otherwise there's really no point in all the doom and gloom. Find the silver lining and all that.

Think this will be a good week for us.

Everyone marking this as optimistic, i guess you all think this will be a bad week for us?
Lol. I get to watch spurs play 3 times this week. Including against real and Utd.
Soldado and ade are on the verge of leaving.
And we will probably bring in a player.
Don't get much better than that.

Pleased that a long overdue clear out of deadwood looks to have been efficiently undertaken.

Maybe it's the eternal pessimist of following Spurs for 30+ years in me but I'm not confident the Germans identified will make the move.

If that's the case I'd far rather see the kids take up the places so often occupied by the stocking fillers. It would help generate a better atmosphere, support and positivity and patience throughout the club.
