Ignoring the advise of physios in the heat of battle is one thing. If the physiotherapists are not able to make their case (over a number of weeks) that a player's injury, if not rested, could have serious long-term effects on a player's career then I'd say they were incompetent. Indeed, this incompetence could cost the Club millions in sell-on value - if the Walker story is true - never mind lost earnings by the player.

This is categorically not the case at football clubs from my experience. Irrespective of outcomes of fitness tests and state of injury a manager plays the player and all he needs is the players consent.

Maybe with Rodriguez well ahead on his recovery he is happy now to wait till Jan to get him
Would tie in with the latest ITK from The Goat that Southampton would let Schneiderlin come to us if we didn't go after Rodriguez in this window as well.

We should just get on with it and get MS and JR if that's what Poch wants.

I'm sure we have players that Southampton want in exchange.

Money talks at the end of the day.

The problem with this sort of post - which is just plain annoying - is that the base assumption is that it's us that are slowing the process down.

I don't think it is at all.

Is that why Bentaleb is playing for a Top 6 club and featured in the World Cup while Livermore is playing for Hull?
Sorry about that. My intention was to point out the fact that they are a bit alike in their way of playing, but Bentaleb is clearly better, hence the "2.0"

I've watched Yedlin's recent games against L.A., Salt Lake and Portland and I have to tell you there is NO way he's getting better with every game. I'm determined to find an upside to this signing (other than marketing) but so far I can't. In possession he gives the ball away or gets caught in possession. Defensively he's poor - has no idea of positioning, ball watches, doesn't hustle, gets crossed on. Going forward - I haven't seen him put in ANY crosses yet (let alone good ones) and he doesn't hustle back when he caught forward. He won't be ready from Premier League in January. He'll participate in training and Spurs XI matches from January on, get loaned to a Championship or League One team next August and be sold back to Seattle in time for the 2016 MLS season.

Sorry - but watching the last few games it's obvious.
And that's how i know you haven't watched his games

If Tim had carried on his Tenure, I suspect our midfield would have been Townsend, Bentalib, Livermore, Lennon
That's fcuking frightening.

OK, guys, I'm not a fan of Sherwood either. But can we please keep bashing him to a minimum in this specific thread, it's surely all in the past now. Or are you all excusing the slating by linking it to discussing ITK about one of his bad decisions? :stop:

That's offensive.

Are you seriously telling me that you watched those games and thought he played well? Yesterday against Portland he wasn't as inept as he was against Salt Lake. I still have the games on my DVR so if you can think of anything he did well please let me know so I can go back and look again.

Tim Sherwood? Games played in the colonies? Loic Remy? The abilities of whichever player takes your fancy? etc etc etc

Give me strength…….

Tell you what, the window closes in a week, do some of you REALLY want to miss the rest of the window?

I'm not locking this because there's a vast majority who understand what goes in here and you're just spoiling it for them.

So…….the VERY next time this happens, i'm just going to go through the thread and ban anyone who posts this shit, feeds it, responds to it or even breathes on it. If the gazillion warnings and requests don't do it then there's nowhere else to go.

Bollocks to worrying about someone not enjoying the window by being banned, you can take responsibility for that yourselves now. I'm done.

Well we are slowing it down somewhat - but not paying up Southampton's crazy demands. The likes of Chelsea, City, Liverpool etc.. would just pay up whatever absurd fee the saints are asking and sign the player.

However i for one am very glad that we don't operate this way, but we are it seems one of the few clubs aiming for top 4 that break this norm of buying players that now exists.

Pochettino has apparently said he will not sign any more "attacking" players and is content.

Ruling out a LWF then.....or bluffing?

Can I ask where you have got this from mate? Certainly contrasts with the stuff I have heard re J-Rod, and I know for a fact that is true.
