10 + 12m? that would be a deal. too bad. 12m is an okay offer and a good one for them to make. we won't accept til about 15 I'd suspect though.
I did not want to sell Caulker but the fee offered was too good to turn down. £13/15 mill is a tempting amount for Andros.

Interesting on Schneiderlin. Think he would be excellent with Capoue but................where does that leave Bentaleb? He has looked much, much better with Capoue than at any time last season IMO and could carry on developing into a super player.

The kids only 19 though. Lots of games throughout the season to get on, be it PL, EL Cups. We need to protect him a little - he played in the WC too so a a 3 of Capoue, MS and Bentaleb would be splendid.

On a side not, I'm really struggling to find a slot for Paulinho at the moment. Mason did well in pre season and Dembele offers that ball carrying option so not sure where I would play him...:(

If its one of the two to go Id send Andros packing he just isn't a team player imo. Lennon atleast tracks back.

Don't think MP still appreciates the worth of AL. I think today he would have torn QPR to shreds if he was brought on with 15 to go. Track back, defend but also catch them big time on the break. AL for me every time.

Bye bye Andros would be my choice - get the money whilst we can. Wingers have to be really special in the PL to command really big money.

Just my thoughts though. PS - no more discussing the merits of both now though from me.

Chadli has surely played his way into the starting 11 vs the scousers next weekend, if he puts in another good performance there then will Rodriguez be necessary, bearing in mind they play the same position? Yes Rodriguez can play up top too but we already have 3 players for that position.
Chadli is our only guy who is accustomed to playing on the left. A lot of fans say otherwise but Andros prefers playing and is better on the right. We now have Lennon, AT and Erik on the right and only Chadli on the left.

I think Chadli showed today that he can play up top as well.

It puts him right where most good 19-yos are - in a rotation/sub role with the 1st team. He is in a good spot to develop - without stagnating from being overwhelmed. I thought that is what hurt him last season - not enough time to digest what he was learning.

When was the last time AL tore anyone to shreds? He's been very tentative for a long time.

Squad rotation, and considering his age - that would be best for him... And maybe one day soon surpassing his mentors...

This would set us up to make a real push in all competitions:

Incomings: Schneiderlin, Remy, Fazio

Outgoings: Sandro, Townsend, Dawson

That's pretty feasible financially, isn't it? When you consider the money brought in for Defoe, we have a surplus of about 10 million pounds at the moment for 2014 transfer dealings. Surely Townsend, Sandro, and Dawson would fetch us another 25 or so million pounds. We could probably sell Chiriches in a pinch, too, but I want to keep him so we have 5 CB's in case of injury.

Does anyone else feel a bit meh towards Morgan? I won't be unhappy about signing him, but it's a lot of money.. And Capuoe has been superb. I'd rather we concentrated an Musacchio kept the money till January to see where we need to invest.

Spot on. While it's true players have successfully converted positions every which way at the professional level, it's about high time we got back to playing more players in their preferred/natural positions and did less "pigeonholing." If Townsend does indeed go, a left sided attacker replacement would be far more optimal.
