Pochettino is his match interview this week discussed the importance of having more than one forward as a transfer target and implied we were looking at others. Probably a ploy to move things along with Berahino. He also stressed his belief in Dier as a holding midfielder- would welcome any itk on developments with Illaremande or the Germans.

Following Chunky's [most welcome] ITK yesterday I don't think we can expect to see any incomings before Monday at earliest: we're constantly being told that a central midfielder will only be done late (if at all), and the Chunkster's info suggests that there's still a way to go on the Berahino deal so that would be very unlikely to happen before Monday (at very best) with us playing today and West Brom playing tomorrow.

Looks like we might actually have to pay attention to the football rather than the transfer market this weekend: how passé.
