Yes but City need homegrown players for their quota, so an english striker would tick that box

Plus they haven"t replaced Dzeko

It seems only Spurs fans who are a bit Milquetoasty that are perpetuating this link with City. I haven't seen anything apart from us.

we have two forwards ostracised so it probably isn't a huge issue seeing as training grounds can be segregated and even schedules arranged so that the unwanted player doesn't get anywhere near first team arrangements, while the club fulfils its contractual stipulations.
It was just one scenario that he would be unmotivated and therefore not worth his wages, not that he would be disruptive and need segregating. But, as I said, another scenario is that they have told us to pay big or jog on as they have no money issues and want as much firepower as possible

The Willian debacle set the precedent. It's not done till the guy is holding up the shirt at the training ground, regardless of what any ITK floozy has to say.

seems like bera to us looks like happening but this is the window of u-turns so as usual the old cliche of not believing till i see him in the shirt on the OS definitely applies here, i know it will be definite then as they are always behind everyone else ha ha

if all else fails the villarreal no.9 looks alright, see he scored tonight :sneaky:

Didn't Willian do that too?

I haven't trawled back through the thread to check but was the consensus that the additional option for midfield was Wanyama? I had a sneaky suspicion it was Rabiot back to the forefront of the list

There's nothing on the actual target but the general consensus is it's probably Wanyama as he's apparently asked to leave Soton to join up with Poch again.

Here we go again. Yawn.

Levy is damned if he does and damned if he don't.

You can see just from today's thread that people on here will moan if he doesn't go out and pay whatever WBA want for Berahino, but if he does then others will moan that he has overspent on an average player.

If the club go out and buy a relatively obscure player who doesn't become world class, then they've messed up, but only by buying these players will we ever stand a chance of ending up with real quality in our side, we can't just go out and 'replace Modric', not inviting suggestions but who the f*ck would you have them buy?

ITK says irons are in the fire. As Stoof said, let's save the bitching for after the window has slammed shut. Because it always slams.

I read but don't post in here normally but this post should be framed and knighted...

This is classic Spurs. Everyone on the inside track says deal imminent cuz all that is left to agree is the fee.

Oh yes, just the thing that is the primary obstacle! I'm not sure at what level the naivety lies. I really hope not the top table, but I wouldn't be surprised.

This city need home grown players line is played out and is a myth. They still have a couple spots for foreigners remaining
